Karakteristik pribadi dari seorang pemimpin dapat menentukan keefektifan organisasi. Penelitian ini menguji Hubungan antara kepemimpinan transformasional dengan karakteristik pribadi pemimpin pada BRI Katamso branch office banking Yogyakarta. 4 Dimensi dari kepemimpinan transformasional adalah: (1) kepemimpinan kharismatik, (2) kepemimpinan inspirasional, (3) stimulasi intelektual, and (4) pengaruh individu. Sedangkan karakteristik pribadi yag diteliti disini adalah: (1) pengambilan risiko, (2) inovasi, (3) penggunaan humor, (4) emotional coping, and (5) behavioral coping. total dari 147 kuesioner, 114 dari karyawan BRI mengisi kuesioner kepemimpinan transformasional and 33 supervisor mengisi kuesioner karakteristik pribadi. Penelitian ini diolah dengan menggunakan metode kendall dan hasil dari penelitian adalah hubungan positif terhadap komponen-komponen yang diuji.
Personal characteristics of individuals employing a leadership style i.e.,transformational leadership that has been found to be effective and may enhance recruitment, selection, training, and development in organizations. This is research of a study linkages between personal characteristics and dimensions of transformational leadership study of BRI Katamso branch office banking Yogyakarta. Transformational leaders tend to exhibit four qualities. They provide (1) charismatic leadership, (2) inspirational leadership, (3) intellectual stimulation, and (4) individualized consideration. Organizational sugests that effective supervisors may possess certain characteristics which are related to transformational leadership i.e., (1) risk taking, (2) innovation, (3) use of humor, (4) emotional coping, and (5) behavioral coping. Date were collected throght purposive sampling. The four dimensions of transformational leadership and personal characteristics were assessed using multifactor leadership and personal characteristics questionner (Bass & avolio; Fajar, 2002). A total of 147 questionnaires, 114 were people (who responded about their supervisors transformational leadership qualities) and 33 wew supervisor (who responded about their personal characteristics). Correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between each of the four transformational leadership dimensions and each of the five personal characteristcs, use of kendall correlation analysis. The proceding discussion suggest that the more leader can risk taking, innovation, use humor on the job, emotional coping and bevioral coping, the greater is their ability to be charismatic, inspire subordinates, intellectually stimulate employees, and provide individualized consideration to others.
