Dukungan eksekutif sering digambarkan sebagai sesuatu penting untuk menekan sepenuhnya manfaat dari teknologi informasi (TI). Beberapa penelitian telah berusaha untuk menentukan jenis dukungan eksekutif atau organisasi yang sesuai. Dalam penelitian ini penulis ingin menganalisis mengenai Keterlibatan dan partisipasi dari manajemen puncak PT. Bank Riau dalam mengelola teknologi informasi dalam perusahaan. Itulah sebabnya mengapa penulis memilih "Keterlibatan dan Partisipasi Direktur utama dalam keprogresifan penggunaan IT: Studi di Bank Riau" untuk menjadi topik riset. Penelitian ini mengajukan tipe dukungan eksekutif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menganalisa Direktur utama Bank Riau dan persepsi perilaku dalam kegiatan TI melalui kepala Divisi TI Bank Riau. Penelitian yang telah dilakukan di Bank Riau pada keterlibatan eksekutif dan partisipasi dalam keprogresifan penggunaan IT menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peran Direktur utama yang positif dalam mendorong penggunaan TI di PT. Bank Riau. keterlibatan Direktur utama dipengaruhi oleh partisipasi Direktur utama dan kondisi organisasi yang berlaku. persepsi Direktur utama tentang pentingnya IT di perusahaan mereka umumnya positif, yang mengakibatkan keprogresifan penggunaan IT di Bank Riau .
Executive support is often described as critical for fully tapping the benefits of information technology (IT). However, few investigations have attempted to determine what type of executive support is likely or organizationally appropriate. In this research the writer wants to analyze regarding the participation and involvement of PT. Bank Riau’s CEO in the progressiveness use of IT within the company. That is why the writer choose “CEO Involvement and Participation in the progressiveness use of IT: Study in Bank Riau” to be the topic of the research. This research put forward the type of executive support. These are tested by examining chief executive officer of Bank Riau behaviors in and perceptions of IT activities through IT Division’s chief o f Bank Riau. The research that has been done in Bank Riau on executive involvement and participation in the progressiveness use of IT suggest that the role of the CEO, in encouraging the use of IT in the Bank Riau is exist and had a positive role. CEO involvement is influenced by a CEO's participation and prevailing organizational conditions. CEO's perceptions about the importance of IT in their firms were generally positive, which resulted in the progressiveness use of IT in Bank Riau.
