Analisis Manfaat dan Biaya Program Produksi Bersih Pada Industri Tekstil

The rapid industrial and economic growth experienced by Indonesia many years ago, has been accompanied by a serious deterioration of the countrys natutral resources and enviromental quality. If sustainable development is to be achieved, production processes, product, and services have to be reoriented towards new pattern, in order to both alleviate anvironmental stress and bring better industrial productivity. This requires the development and use of new policy and management tools in industry. The one of this is Clenaer Productions System. Cleaner production is the continous application of an integrated preventive environmental strategy to processes and product to reduce risks to humans and the environment.
The research focus on the textile industries, which the production capacity about 1 ton per day, and effluent debits about 163,5 to 200 m3. Cleaner production system use the Non-oxidizing Microbiocide System, that will subtitutes application of biocide whith ultraviolet light or ozon in cooling system and waste minimized processes.
The purpose of this research was to compare the impact toward environment between cleaner production and the older system. The other purposes was to examined the cost saving by using cleaner production system. Economically, by using Benefit and Cost Analysis, the result of the research indicated that cleaner production system is feasible for industries, because of : a) value of benefit and cost ratio more than 1, b) Net Present Value Rp.11.603.202,48, c) internal rate of return 27,78%, d)Pay Back Period 3 years and 3,5 months. The other hands, Non-oxidizing Microbiocide appointed that there was differently about effluent characteristic between cleaner production and the older system, in parameter pH, BOD, COD, Suspended solid, and Secondary waste.
