Identifikasi Kebutuhan Pemberi Kerja Terhadap Kompetensi Lulusan Program Magister Akuntansi dengan KONSENTRASI Akuntansi keuangan

Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kompetensi agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja adalah dengan menempuh jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi. Program Magister Akuntansi (MAKSI) FEB UGM merupakan salah satu sarana para lulusan program studi akuntansi untuk meneruskan jenjang pendidikannya. Salah satu konsentrasi yang ditawarkan MAKSI FEB UGM adalah konsentrasi Akuntansi Keuangan. Diharapkan lulusan dari Program MAKSI FEB UGM dengan konsentrasi Akuntansi Keuangan ini akan mampu bersaing di bursa kerja dengan kompetensi yang dimilikinya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan membahas mengenai tingkat kesesuaian antara standar kompetensi yang ada pada program MAKSI FEB UGM dengan konsentrasi Akuntansi Keuangan terhadap kebutuhan para pemberi kerja.

Data dalam penelitian ini didapat dengan cara melakukan penyebaran kuesioner. Responden kuesioner merupakan pemberi kerja pada sebuah perusahaan dan alumni MAKSI yang bekerja di perusahaan. Responden disajikan 29 kompetensi inti dan 9 kompetensi tambahan yang dapat dipilih berdasarkan tingkat urgensinya. Hasil penilaian data kuesioner berupa peringkat kompetensi yang dibutuhkan pemberi kerja ada pada lulusan program MAKSI dengan konsentrasi Akuntansi Keuangan.

Penelitian ini menyajikan peringkat kebutuhan pemberi kerja terhadap lulusan program MAKSI dengan konsentrasi Akuntansi Keuangan dari tiga sudut pandang, yaitu sudut pandang pemberi kerja, alumni program MAKSI dan pekerja dibidang akuntansi dan keuangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa standar kompetensi program MAKSI dengan konsentrasi Akuntansi Keuangan sebagian besar telah sesuai dengan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan oleh pemberi kerja.

One way to increase the competency to match the needs of the working world is to take higher education. Master of Applied Accounting Program (MAKSI) FEB UGM is one means of graduates accounting program to continue their education. One of the concentrations (major) offered by MAKSI FEB UGM is the Financial Accounting. MAKSI expected to graduate from the program (with a Financial Accounting major) will be able to compete in the working market with its competence. Therefore, this study will discuss the level of concordance between the standard of competence that offered in MAKSI FEB UGM with Financial Accounting major to employer needs.

The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires. Questionnaire respondents are employers in a company and MAKSI alumnus who working in the company. Respondents were presented 29 core competencies and 9 additional competencies that can be selected based on the level of urgency. Results of the assessment questionnaire data in the form of competency ratings required the employer is in a MAKSI graduate program with Financial Accounting major.

This study presents the ranking of needs of employers for MAKSI graduate program with Financial Accounting major from three perspectives; employers, MAKSI alumnus and workers in the field of accounting and finance. Results from this study showed that the competency standards MAKSI program with the Financial Accounting major has been largely in accordance with the competencies required by the employer.
