Hubungan Antara Dimensi Kepribadian Big Five dengan Stres Kerja Pengajar Perguruan Tinggi

Penelitian ini menggabungkan kepribadian dengan stres kerja. Dalam kajian ini, hubungan antara kepribadian Big Five dan stres kerja diuji. Pernilaian kepribadian Big Five diperoleh dari lima dimensi kepribadian (neuroticism, extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, dan openess to experience). Pernilaian stres kerja diperoleh dari tingginya tuntutan kerja, ketatnya pengawasan, hubungan kerja yang tidak harmonis, ketatnya aturan, perubahan lingkungan, dan kurangnya dukungan sosial. Seluruh responden dalam survey ini (100%) bekerja di Universitas Proklamasi 45. Responden berasal dari berbagai wilayah domisili dan berbagai disiplin ilmu pendidikan maupun derajat kesarjanaan. Secara khusus, stres kerja dipengaruhi secara langsung oleh Neuroticism dan Openess to Experience, sedangkan Extraversion, Agreeableness, dan Conscientiousness tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan stres kerja. Hal ini diduga dilatarbelakangi adanya perubahan organisasional dan dampak anchoring effect yang terjadi di UP'45 ketika proses penelitian ini sedang dilakukan. Some previous researches have studied the relation of personality with workperformance and work-stress with work-performance, the present research integrates personality with work-stress. In this study, the relationships among the Big Five Personality and work-stress are proposed and tested. Big Five Personality scores were obtained from five dimensions of personality (neuroticism, extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openess to experience). Work-stress scores were obtained from highly work demands, tightly work control, inharmoniously work relationships, tightly rules, environmental changes, and lack of social support. All the respondents in the survey (100%) worked in the Proklamasi 45 University. Respondents were from a wide range of geographical regions and a variety of backgrounds in terms of teaching or research discipline, and grade of post. Specifically, work-stress was affected directly by both Neuroticism and Openess to Experience whereas Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Conscientiousness have no significant relationships among work-stress. The results are discussed against the result of previous research that is the openness to experience personality has linearity relationships among work-stress. It was prejudiced that organizational change and anchoring effect in UP'45 as background of this research. Key words: The Big Five personality, neuroticism, extraversion, agreeableness,
