The profession role by public accounting is increase according to business development and the global change. As a result there are two issues arise related the recruitment of accountant by public accounting, that is about gender and academic discipline.

This study tests the effect of gender and academic discipline in ethical judgment. The sample consists of student from Accountancy and the faculty of Psychology of Gadjah Mada University. The hypotheses are tested using linear regression.

Results indicate that there is an effect of gender dan academic discipline in ethical judgment. Results indicate the significant effect.
