Hubungan antara partisipasi pemakai dan kepuasan pemakai dalam pengembangan sistem informasi dengan kompleksitas sistem dan struktur organisasi sebagai variabel pemoderasi

Dewasa ini perkembangan teknologi semakin pesat diiringi perkembangan sistem informasi yang berbasis teknologi. Perkembangan sistem informasi tersebut perlu didukung banyak faktor, diantaranya partisipasi pemakai yang diharapkan dapat memberikan kesuksesan dari sistem informasi itu sendiri yang tercermin melalui kepuasan pemakai sistem informasi.
Penelitian ini mengembangkan penelitian McKeen et al. (1994) dengan menguji kembali hubungan partisipasi terhadap kepuasan pemakai dalam pengembangan sistem informasi dengan kompleksitas sistem sebagai variabel pemoderasi dan menambahkan satu variabel pemoderasi yang sepengetahuan peneliti belum pernah diteliti dalam hubungan partisipasi dengan kepuasan pemakai dalam pengembangan sistem informasi, yaitu variabel pemoderasi struktur organisasi.
Dengan tingkat respon sebesar 19%, analisis menunjukkan bahwa Moderated regression analysis menyimpulkan kompleksitas sistem secara statistis mempengaruhi hubungan antara partisipasi pemakai dan kepuasan pemakai, pengaruh tersebut makin kuat ketika kompleksitas sistem semakin tinggi dan struktur organisasi secara statistis tidak mempengaruhi hubungan antara partisipasi pemakai dan kepuasan pemakai. Interaksi antara partisipasi pemakai dan struktur organisasi adalah tidak signifikan sehingga tidak dapat dikatakan bahwa pengaruh tersebut makin kuat ketika organisasi menggunakan struktur desentralisasi.
At present technology is rapidly advancing, it is accompanied by the development of the technology-based information system. The development of the information system requires various supporting factors, which are among others the participation of users. Such participation is expected to contribute to the success of the information system that is reflected on the satisfaction of the users of the information system.
The study extended that by McKeen et.a!. (1994) by reexamining the relationship between the participation of users and the satisfaction of them in the development of an information system with the complexity of system as the moderating variable and included a moderating variable that as far as the author knew has not been studied in the relationship between the participation of users and the satisfaction of them in the development of the information system, which was the moderating variable of the organization structure.
Given the response rate of 19%, the analysis indicated that moderated regression analysis concluded that the complexity of system statistically influenced the relationship between the participation of users and the satisfaction of them and the stronger was the influence, the higher the complexity of the system was and the organization structure statistically did not influence the relationship between the participation of users and the satisfaction of them. The interaction between the participation of users and the organization structure was not significant and hence it could not be said that the influence was increasingly high when the organization used the decentralized structure.
