PENGARUH BESARAN KOMPENSASI EKSEKUTIF TERHADAP CORPORATE SOCIAL PERFORMANCE (STUDI PADA PERUSAHAAN PERTAMBANGAN YANG TERCATAT DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA TAHUN 2010-2012)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji apakah besaran kompensasi eksekutif berpengaruh terhadap corporate social performance. Besaran kompensasi yang digunakan yaitu rata-rata kompensasi yang diterima oleh para direksi dan dewan komisaris, sedangkan pengumpulan data corporate social performance merujuk pada penelitian Sembiring (2005) dengan menggunakan checklist. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan menghasilkan sampel berjumlah 16 perusahaan pertambangan yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2010 sampai 2012. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan uji hipotesis dengan uji linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompensasi eksekutif mempengaruhi kinerja sosial perusahaan. Dengan kata lain, besar kecilnya kompensasi yang diterima oleh eksekutif berpengaruh terhadap kinerja sosial yang dilakukan sebuah perusahaan.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of executive compensation to corporate social performance. The amount of compensation that is used is the average of compensation received by the directors and the board of commissioners, while corporate social performance data collection refers to checklist that used by Sembiring (2005). Samples were selected using purposive sampling method and produce 16 mining companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2010 until 2012. This study using test hypothesis with multiple linear test. Result showed that the executive compensation have a significant effect on corporate social performance. In other words, the size of the compensation received by the executive influencing the social performance of a company.
