Analisis Perbedaan Komitment Organisasional Pada Berbagai Tahap Karir

Penelitian ini menguji secara empiris dan menganalisis perbedaan tingkat komitmen organisasional, yang meliputi komitmen afektif, komitmen continuance dan komitmen normatif pada berbagai tahap karir yang ditentukan dengan menggunakan variabel usia, lama kerja dan lama menjabat. Penelitian dilakukan pada karyawan non edukatif di Perguruan Tinggi Swasta se kota Semarang. Kuesioner didistribusikan kepada 90 responden, namun hanya 82 kuesioner yang kembali (response rate = 92%). Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan 8 item komitmen afektif, 8 item komitmen continuance dan 8 item komitmen normatif, semua ukuran yang digunakan dalam studi ini bersifat persepsional.
Analisis korelasi digunakan untuk menguji hubungan antara usia, lama kerja dan lama menjabat, sebagai variabel independen dengan tingkat komitmen afektif, komitmen continuance dan komitmen normatif, sebagai variabel dependen <, Sedangkan ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) digunakan untuk menguji perbedaan tingkat komitmen organisasional pada berbagai tahap karir yang ditentukan dengan menggunakan variabel usia, lama kerja dan lama menjabat.
Hasil analisis korelasi menunjukkan bahwa korelasi antara usia, lama kerja dan lama menjabat dengan komitmen organisasional tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan. Hasil analisis dengan menggunakan ANOV A menunjukkan bahwa tingkat komitmen afektif, komitmen continuance dan komitmen normative diantara kelompok usia, lama kerja dan lama menjabat tidak menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan.
This research empirically exammes the differences of the organizational commitment levels among employees at different career stages indicated by age, job tenure, and positional tenure. The research was conducted with a sample of non-educative employees working at some private colleges in Semarang. There were 90 questionnaires distributed to 90 respondents, but only 82 questionnaires were returned (response rate = 92%).The data were collected by using three kinds of commitments consisting of 8 items each, namely affective, continuance, and normative commitments. All standards used in this study were perceptive. The relationships between the independent variables, namely age, job tenure, and positional tenure, and the dependant variables, namely affective, continuance and normative commitments were examined by using correlation analysis. ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) was used to examine the differences of the organizational commitment levels among employees at different career stages indicated by age, job tenure, and positional tenure. The result of the correlation analysis showed that there were no significant relationships between age, job tenure and positional tenure, and the organizational commitment. The result of the ANOVA analysis showed that there were no significant differences of affective, continuance and normative commitments caused by the differences of age, job tenure, and positional tenure.
