PENGARUH KECOCOKKAN TUGAS DAN TEKNOLOGI TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN PERGURUAN TINGGI SWASTA DI YOGYAKARTA

Berbagai literatur menyatakan bahwa tehnologi infonnasi penting bagi organisasi, baik publik maupun privat karena dapat meningkatkan kinerja organisasi dan merupakan salah satu alat potensial untuk menciptakan daya saing. Menurut Goodhue Dan Thompson, penelitian yang menganalisis hubungan antara sistem informasi dan kinerja dapat dibagi menjadi dua aliran, yaitu penelitian yang berfokus pada kecocokan-tugas teknologi dan penelitian yang berfokus pada pemanfaatan teknologi. Namun, berbagai penelitian yang telah dilakukan menghasilkan hasil yang tidak konsisten. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini ingin menguji pengaruh kecocokan tugas-tehnologi dan pemanfaatan tehnologi informasi terhadap kinetja karyawan perguruan tinggi swasta di Yogyakarta.
Sampel penelitian ini adalah 79 pegawai perguruan tinggi swasta di Y ogyakarta yang menggunakan sistem informasi berbasis komputer untuk mengidentifikasi, memperoleh, mengintegrasi dan menginterprestasikan data dalam menjalankan tugasnya. Sedangkan analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi berganda.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecocokan tugas tehnologi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan perguruan tinggi swasta di Y ogyakarta. Namun, hasil penelitian juga membuktikan bahwa pemanfaatan tehnologi informasi tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan perguruan tinggi swasta di Yogyakarta.
A rang of literaturs suggest that information technology is important for both public and private organizations because it can improve the performanceof the organization and represents one of the potential aids to create a competitive power. According to Goodhue and Thompson (1995) the study analyzing the relationship beetwen an information system and the performance may be classified into two focusing on the utilization of technology. However, various studies that have been conducted provides inconsistent results. Thus, the study investigates the impact of the
task-technology fit and the utilization of the information technology on the performance of the ernployee-of privat collegges in Yogyakarta.
The sample of the study are 79 employees of the private colleggrs in Yogyakarta using computer-based infrmation system to identify, to obtain, to integrate and to interpret the data in accomplishing their duties. The analysis used in the study is multiple regression analysis.
The result of the study show that task technology fit gives positive impact to the performance, but the result of the study also show that the utilization of the information technology does not give positive impact to the performance.
