Pengaruh Fixed Asset Ratio, Profitabilitas, Tax Rate, dan Growth terhadap Struktur Modal: studi empiris, BEI 2001-2006

Modal adalah faktor utama pada sebuah perusahaan, karena melalui modal inilah perusahaan memiliki kemampuan untuk mengembangkan kegiatan bisnisnya. Pemahaman pada struktur modal sangatlah penting, karena pembiayaan modal yang kurang tepat dapat menyebabkan perusahaan tersebut bangkrut. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk membuktikan pengaruh Fixed Asset Ratio, Profitabilitas, Tax Rate, dan Growth terhadap struktur modal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel profitabilitas berpengaruh paling signifikan dan negatif terhadap keputusan struktur modal. Selanjutnya, variabel yang lain berpengaruh signifikan dan positif pada tahun berjalan. Selanjutnya penelitian ini dimodifikasi dengan lag 1, lag 2, dan lag 3. Hasil dari pengujian tersebut menunjukkan variabel yang berpengaruh secara signifikan adalah profitabilitas dan tax rate dengan arah yang sama. Capital is a vital factor for company to finance its operational activities, it is used to gain more profit. The understanding about this issue is very important, because it is related to financing activity and avoid the company getting bankrupt. This study has purposes to investigate the effects of Fixed Asset Ratio, Profitability, Tax Rate, and Growth to the capital structure. The result shows that variable profitability has the most significant effect and it is negative to the capital structure decision. Furthermore, the other variables have significant effect and it is positive to the current year. Sensitivity using lag 1, lag 2, and lag 3 shows that the effects are consistent and statistically significant. There are profitability and tax rate with the same trend.
