This research was based on capability enterprise should have in using all their owned resources, not only tangible asset but also intangible and intellectual asset. Moreover, this research aimed to introduce to PT PERTAMINA (Persero)"s Lirik Upper Operation Area a performance measurement model of Balanced Scorecard from four perspectives (finance, customer, business internal process, and learning and growth) and to evaluate possibility for Balanced Scorecard as comprehensive performance measurement model to provide advantages and positive impact for future enterprise development.
This research was done by exploring important information from informants, namely, the company"s management that involve directly and indirectly in formulating company strategies. PT PERTAMINA (Persero)"s Lirik Upper Operation Area needs a management system integrating vision and strategy to create comprehensive work framework and to translate its vision and strategy into integrated performance measurement. This research used survey method that was done to management of PT PERTAMINA (Persero)"s Lirik Upper Operation Area. It evaluated company data and made study of literature related to strategic management, in particular on Balanced Scorecard as base for making performance measurement. The conclusion was that Balanced Scorecard has prospect to apply in PT PERTAMINA (Persero)"s Lirik Upper Operation Area as improvement on company performance by developing short and longterm objective and goals to achieve company"s vision, mission and objectives. The concept will encourage PT PERTAMINA (Persero)"s Lirik Upper Operation Area to realize company vision, that is, being business unit that is strong, having quality human resources and keeping environment balance and sustainability.
