Analisis hubungan corporate governance perception index (CGPI), persistensi laba, dan nilai perusahaan (studi empiris pada industri perbankan di Indonesia)

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menginvestigasi hubungan antara Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) dan persistensi laba, persistensi laba dan nilai perusahaan, serta Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) dan nilai perusahaan.
Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berasal dari perusahaan perbankan yang masuk dalam publikasi Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) oleh IICG perioda 2001-2007, dan terdaftar sebagai perusahaan public pada Bursa Efek Indonesia (dahulu Bursa Efek Jakarta) perioda 2001-2007.
Metoda statistik yang digunakan menggunakan analisis multiple linear regression. Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa indeks CGPI tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap persistensi laba yang dilaporkan perusahaan, sedangkan persistensi laba dan indeks CGPI berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan.
This research's objectives are to investigate the relationship between Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) and earnings persistence, earnings persistence and firm's value, and Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) and firm's value.
The sample being used in this research are banking companies included in Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) published by IICG for the period of 2001-2007, and listed as public companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange (previously Jakarta Stock Exchange) for the period of 2001-2007.
The statistical method used in this research is multiple linear regression method. The result shows that CGPI index's having no significant effect on earnings persistence, while earnings persistence and CGPI index's having positive and significant effect on firm's value.
