Evaluasi Penerapan Prinsip-Prinsip Good Corporate Governance pada PT PLN (Persero)

Good corporate governancemerupakan isu yang semakin berkembang di dunia dan juga di Indonesia terutama10 tahun terakhir ini. Dengan diterapkannya good corporate governancepada suatu perusahaan maka dianggap perusahaan tersebut telah mematuhui prinsip-prinsip good corporate governanceyaitu fairness, transparency, accountability, dan responsibility. Keempat prinsip tersebut mencerminkan niat baik perusahaan dalam menjalankan usahanya kepada para stakeholders-nya, baik yang langsung maupun yang tidak langsung.
Penerapan prinsip GCG seharusnya mempunyai pengaruh yang positif terhadap kualitas laporan keuangan. PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) sudah melangkah ke arah tata kelola perusahaan yang baik, yang dilandasi dengan prinsip-prinsip Good Corporate Governance (GCG). Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan telah diterbitkan "Code of Conduct"pada bulan Oktober tahun 2005 sebagai kode etik yang dianut oleh seluruh pegawai di lingkungan PT PLN (Persero). Kemudian telah ditunjukan juga oleh Dewan Komisaris yang membentuk Komisi Good Corporate Governance (GCG) yang memiliki fungsi sebagai memantau kepatuhan dalampelaksanaan GCG sesuai pedoman GCG PT PLN (Persero). Selain itu juga, perusahaan juga telah berupaya untuk menciptakan indicator kinerja perusahaan yang transparan, dengan membuat Statement of Corporate Intent (SCI) periode 2006-2008. sebagai pedoman bagi pemegang saham dan stakeholder lainnya dalammenilai kinerja PT PLN (Persero). Penyajian laporan keuangan perusahaan telah efektif. Berdasarkan Laporan Auditor Independen yang telah mengaudit neraca konsolidasi PT PLN (Persero), serta laporan laba rugi konsolidasi, laporan perubahan ekuitas konsolidasi dan laporan arus kas konsolidasi untuk tahun 2000 s/d 2005, memberikan pendapat wajar tanpa pengecualian atas laporan keuangan tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan kuesioner dan analisis dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa implementasi dari prinsip Good Corporate Governance (GCG) berperan dalammeningkatkan kualitas laporan keuangan perusahaan pada PT PLN (Persero).
Good corporate governance is an issue that is growing in the world and also in Indonesia terutama10 recent years. With the implementation of good corporate governancepada a company it is considered that the company has mematuhui principles of good corporate governance, namely fairness, transparency, accountability, and responsibility. The fourth principle reflects the goodwill the company to run its business to their stakeholders, both direct and indirect.
Application of the principles of good corporate governance should have a positive influence on the quality of the financial statements. PT PLN (Persero) has stepped in the direction of good corporate governance, which is based on the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). This can be seen with the already published "Code of Conduct" in October 2005 as a code of ethics adopted by the entire staff of PT PLN (Persero). Then it has been shown also by the Board of Commissioners established the Commission on Good Corporate Governance (GCG) which has a function to monitor compliance as per the guidelines dalampelaksanaan GCG GCG PT PLN (Persero). In addition, the company also has sought to create a transparent company performance indicators, to make the Statement of Corporate Intent (SCI) 2006-2008. as guidance for shareholders and other stakeholders in assessing the performance of PT PLN (Persero). Presentation of the company's financial statements have been effective. Based on the Report of the Independent Auditors have audited the consolidated balance sheets of PT PLN (Persero), as well as the consolidated income statement, consolidated statement of changes in equity and cash flows for the year 2000 s / d in 2005, gives an unqualified opinion on those statements. Based on the results of the questionnaire calculation and analysis in this study shows that the implementation of the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) play a role in improving the quality of the companys financial statements at PT PLN (Persero).
