Pengaruh Penerapan Good Corporate Governance terhadap Kinerja Perusahaan dan Return Saham

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh penerapan Good Corporate Governance (GCG) terhadap kinerja perusahaan dan return saham. Kinerja perusahaan yang diuji adalah Return On Assets (ROA), Return On Equity (ROE) dan Earning Per Share (EPS). Dan untuk menguji respon pasar terhadap penerapan GCG, peneliti menggunakan Return Saham. Sedangkan untuk populasi sampel, dengan metode purposive sampling, peneliti memilih perusahaan-perusahaan yang menerapkan GCG dan terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Untuk peringkat GCG, peneliti menggunakan daftar Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) dari tahun 2001-2008 yang diadakan oleh Indonesian Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG). Dari metode tersebut, sampel penelitian yang terpilih sebanyak 77 sampel.
Sebelum data diteliti menggunakan analisis regresi, data harus diuji menggunakan uji asumsi klasik agar data tidak bias sehingga hasil penelitian menjadi valid dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Dari analisis regresi yang telah dilakukan, GCC berpengaruh positif terhadap variabel ROA. Tetapi, GCG berpengaruh negatif untuk variabel ROE, EPS dan Return Saham.
The objective of this research is to examine the effect of the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on company performance and stock return. The tested company performance is Return On Assets (ROA), Return On Equity (ROE) and Earning Per Share (EPS). And to test the market response to the implementation of GCG, researchers using the Stock Return. As for the sample population, with the method of purposive sampling, researchers was select companies that implement GCG and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). To rank GCG, researchers used a list of Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) from 2001-2008, held by the Indonesian Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG). From this method, total selected sample is 77 samples.
Before the data examined using regression analysis, the data must be tested using the classic assumption test for unbiased data so that research results will be accurate and reliable. From the regression analysis has been done, GCC have a positive effect on ROA variable. But, GCG have a negative effect for ROE, EPS and Stock Return variables.
