FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI INTENSITAS PENGGUNAAN SISTEM INFORMASI PADA PT EXCELCOMINDO PRATAMA TBK YOGYAKARTA

Dewasa ini, banyak perusahaan telah menerapkan teknologi informasi yang canggih untuk mendukung sistem informasi mereka. Akan tetapi, intensitas penggunaan sistem informasi untuk tujuan pembuatan keputusan dan operasi masih rendah. Rendahnya tingkat penggunaan sistem informasi ini telah dianggap sebagai salah satu penyebab terjadinya Productivity Paradox, yaitu investasi yang mahal di bidang teknologi informasi tetapi menghasilkan return yang rendah. Penelitian ini menguji teori



tentang faktor-faktor yang diduga mempengaruhi intensitas penggunaan sistem informasi. Responden yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini adalah manajer, staf dan karyawan PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk Yogyakarta. Dari 80 kuesioner yang disembar, sebanyak 53 kuesioner yang kembali dan dapat di analisis. Model regresi digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis-hipotesis yang diajukan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa kebermanfaatan persepsian, kemudahan persepsian, dan desentralisasi mempunyai pengaruh yang



signifikan terhadap intensitas penggunaan sistem informasi. Akan tetapi, partisipasi pemakai dan strategi tidak berpengaruh terhadap intensitas penggunaan sistem informasi.

Recently, most companies have implemented the most advanved information technology to support their information system. However, the intensity of information system utilization for the purpose of decision making and operations was considered to be low. The low level of information usage is thought to be the reason for Produtivity Paradox; the high-cost investment in information technology gave a loe return. This research examines the theory on factors that presumably affect the intensity of information system usage. Participating respondents in this research were managers, staff and employees of PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk Yogyakarta. From 53 completed questionnaires were returned out and able to analysis of 80 questionnaires sent out to the respondent. Multiple regression model was used to test the proposed hypotheses. The result showed that perceived usefulness, perceived easy of use and decentralization had a statistically significant impact on the intensity of information system usage. User participation in system development and strategy level, however, did not affect the intensity.
