Analisis Faktor-faktor yang Memepengaruhi Mahasiswa Akuntansi di Yogyakarta dalam Memilih Karir sebagai Akuntan Pajak

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi persepsi mahasiswa akuntansi tentang faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi mahasiswa akuntansi dalam memilih karir sebagai akuntan pajak atau non-akuntan pajak. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa akuntansi yang telah memasuki tahun kedua yang tersebar di 5 universitas di Yogyakarta. Sampel terdiri dari 192 responden dimana pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner.

Penelitian ini menggunakan 5 variabel independen, yaitu faktor intrinsik, gaji, pertimbangan pasar kerja, persepsi tentang dunia pajak dan personalitas. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah Analisis Chi Square. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan persepsi antara mahasiswa akuntansi dalam pemilihan karir terletak pada faktor personalitas. Ada perbedaan personalitas antara mahasiswa akuntansi yang memilih karir sebagai akuntan pajak dengan mahasiswa akuntansi yang memilih karir non-akuntan pajak

The aim of this research is to identifying accounting students perception about the factor that influence accounting student to choose career to be a tax accountant or non-tax accountant. The sample were accounting students on the second year on the 5 university in Yogyakarta. The sample on this research are 192 respondents that consist of accounting students, in which the data collection used questionnaire and distributions were done with the convenience.

This research used 5 variabel independent, there are intrinsic factor, salaries, job market consideration, perception about tax image and personality. The test of hypothesis using Chi-Square Analysis. The result of the research shows that the difference student perception about factor influencing the career choices of the accounting students is personality. There are difference in personality between accounting students which choose career to be a tax accountant with accounting students which choose career non-tax accountant.
