Pengaruh Struktur Kepemilikan,Leverage,dan Kebijakan Dividen Terhadap Nilai Perusahaan

Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel 42 perusahaan yang terdaftar di Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) yang tergabung pada Indeks Kompas 100 pada tahun 2009-2013 untuk menguji ada atau tidaknya efek peluang pertumbuhan terhadap leverage, dividen, serta kepemilikan terkonsentrasi terhadap nilai perusahaan. Pertama, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur kepemilikan menunjukkan adanya efek non linier (u-shaped). Kedua, peneliti menunjukkan bahwa leverage memainkan dua peran: menghasilkan efek negatif terhadap nilai perusahaan yang memiliki peluang pertumbuhan yang tinggi (teori underinvestment) dan menghasilkan efek positif terhadap nilai perusahaan yang memiliki peluang pertumbuhan yang rendah (teori overinvestment). Terakhir, peneliti menunjukkan bahwa dividen berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan pada perusahaan yang memiliki peluang pertumbuhan yang rendah.
This study uses a sample of 42 firms that are listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) as the Kompas 100 index between 2009 to 2013 to examine whether the presence or absence of growth opportunities influences the effect of leverage, dividend payout, and ownership concentration on firm value. First, the result shows that ownership structure has a non-linear effect (u-shaped). Second, the study find that leverage plays a dual role: it negatively affects the value of firms with high growth opportunity (underinvestment theory), and positively affects the value of firms with low growth opportunity (overinvestment theory). Finally, the study find a significantly positive relation between dividend and the value of firm with low growth opportunity.
