Nowadays, the firm faces a strict competitive environment which changes continually. Therefore, the firm needs a fast and trusted way to get information. The acknowledgment that information is a valueable resources gives a contribution to the rise of development system process. Systems Development Life Cycles/SDLC shows the period of development and after development of one system information life cycles, which consists of planning system phase, analysis system, design system, implementation system, and operational system phase.

To make business activity easier, a firm can be categorized by a series of process called transaction cycle which one of it is cash expenditure cycle. Cash expenditure cycle is a series of business activity and data processing activity relates to the purchase and payment of good and services bought. Designing the information system for cash expenditure cycle uses data in CV Furniture Direct Jepara. Data processing in information system is very important in order to make main activity of information system-change data as information-can be done well. Database Management Systems/DBMS is a software that enable organization to center data, manage data efficiently, and gives access to a data that is hidden by application program.

Application program is designed to process data in cash expenditure cycle, consists of purchase request transaction, purchase order, goods receipt, purchase return, cash expenditure in business memorandum form, shows information about inventory and occurred transaction, and shows them into a statement. Application program is designed by using Microsoft Access 2003 Database Management with interface uses Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 software. The resultant statement is designed by using Seagate Crystal Report 8.5 software.
