IMPACT OF CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY DISCLOSURES TO FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE OF AN ENERGY COMPANY (Case Study : PT Transportasi Gas

This research discuss the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility on company Transgasindo and Medco Energi for the period 2005-2008, with benchmarking method and the use of Return On Assets, Return On Investments and Debt-to-Equity Ratio. The aim from this research is to finds out if there any correlation when Corporate Social Responsibility implementation in an energy company could be one indicator to show the increasing of financial performance.
The data obtained from interviews with managers and Corporate Social Responsibility in Transgasindo also with secondary data adapted from the annual report. From the results of this study can be found that there had been changes in the Energy Company's financial performance before and after CSR implementation showing an increase.
