Dampak Locus of Control Terhadap Pengaruh Insentif Non Finansial Pada Kepuasan Kerja Karyawan Studi di Perusahaan Usaha Kecil dan Menengah Yogyakarta

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh insentif non-finansial terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan pada perusahaan keeil (UKM) di Yogyakarta dengan batasan memiliki tenaga kerja kurimg dari 100 orang. Variabel insentif yang diteliti, merupakan komponen-komponen insentif non-finansial yang telah teruji dalam penelitian di negara barat yang seeara siknifikan mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja karyawan UKM. Variabel-variabel tersebut yaitu: job enrichment, employee recognition, clarity of expectation, internal pay equity, external pay equity, managerial skill. Disamping itu, penelitian ini juga mempertimbangkan salah satu karakteristik karyawan yaitu Locus of Control (LOC), sebagai variabel moderasi antara insentif non-finansial dengan kepuasan kerja.
Terdapat eukup bukti, variabel insentif non-finansial seperti job enricment, employee recognition, clarity of expectation, internal pay equity, dan managerial skill mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja. Efek moderasi variabel LOC hanya terjadi pada kelompok karyawan yang memiliki ekternal LOC. Dengan memperhatikan pengaruh LOC terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan, penelitian ini juga memberikan implementasi praktis baik untuk praktisi maupun penelitian selanjutnya.
This study is to identify the effect of non-financial incentive on employee's work satisfaction in a small industry that employs less than 100 employee in Yogyakarta. The incentive variables to be studied are non-financial incentive components that have been tested by studies in western countries as significantly affect employee work satisfaction in small industries. Those variables are: job enrichment, employee recognition, clarity of expectation, internal pay equity, external pay equity and managerial skills. In addition to that, this study is also to consider Locus of Control (LOC), one of employee characteristics, as a variable of moderation between non-financial incentive and work satisfaction.
There are evidences that non-financial incentive variables such as job enrichment, employee recognition, clarity of expectation, internal pay equity and managerial skill affect work satisfaction. Moderation effect of LOC only occurs on employee group who have external LOC. By observing the LOC effect on employee work satisfaction, this study is also to provide a practical implementation for both practical users and other future studies.
