PENGARUH PENERAPAN KONSEP KOMPETISI BERBASIS WAKTU TERHADAP KINERJA DI INDUSTRI GARMEN
Penelitian ini bertujuan, pertama: untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penerapan kompetisi berbasis waktu terhadap kinerja bisnis. Kompetisi berbasis waktu meliputi dimensi-dimensi product development cycle time, new product introduction, production lead time, delivery speed, delivery reliability/dependability, dan customer responsiveness. Kedua, meneliti bagaimana hubungan penggunaan teknik-telmik yaitu Total Quality Management (TQM), Just In Time (JIT), Work Team Empowerment (WTE) terhadap kinerja berbasis waktu.
Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perusahaan garmen yang berskala besar di Indonesia. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan sistem sensus, dimana semua populasi digunakan sebagai responden. Setelah data terkumpul, pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan alat analisis regresi berganda dan analisis korelasi.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan 1bahwa secara keseluruhan kompetisi berbasis waktu berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja bisnis. Hal ini didukung dengan adanya hubungan positif penggunaan TQM, JIT, WTE terhadap peningkatan kinerja berbasis waktu.

THE EFFECT OF APPLICATION THE CONCEPT OF TIME BASED COMPETITION TO THE PERFORMANCE OF THE GARMENT INDUSTRY
The objective of this study was, first, to identify the application effect of time based competition to business performance. Time based competition consists of several dimensions. They are product development cycle time, new product introduction, production lead time, delivery speed, delivery reliability/ dependability, and customer responsiveness. Second, this study aimed to identify the connectivity of the used techniques; th.ose are Total Quality Management (TMQ), Just In Time (nT), Work Team Empowerment (WTE) with the time based performance.
The study was done in the garment II;0mpany with big scale in Indonesia.
The sample was taken by using census system which all of the population were used as the respondent. After the data were gathered, the hypothesis testing was done by using multiple regression analysis tool and correlation analysis.
The result of the study showed that in general, time based competition effected the business performance significantly. It was supported by the positive correlation of the using ofTQM, nT, and WTE to the improvement of time Based Performance.
