Pengaruh Praktik Total Quality Management Terhadap Internal Knowledge Transfer dan Inovasi

Total Quality Management (TQM) adalah filosofi manajemen sebagian besar organisasi untuk meningkatkan efektifiitas dan kinerja untuk menjadi organisasi kelas dunia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh praktik TQM yang terdiri dari kerja sama tim, otonomi dan kontrol proses terhadap internal knowledge transfer dan inovasi. Penelitian ini juga menguji peran internal knowledge transfer dalam memediasi hubungan antara praktik TQM dan inovasi. Ukuran sampel penelitian ini adalah 85 pimpinan fakultas dan sekolah tinggi yang berada di Yogyakarta. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini diuji dengan hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kerja sama tim, otonomi, dan kontrol proses berpengaruh positif terhadap internal knowledge transfer. Otonomi dan kontrol proses berpengaruh positif terhadap inovasi, sedangkan kerja sama tim tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap inovasi. Penelitian ini berhasil membuktikan bahwa hubungan antara otonomi dan kontrol proses terhadap inovasi dimediasi oleh internal knowledge transfer.
Total Quality Management (TQM) is a management philosophy of most organizations to improve the effectiveness and performance to become a world-class organization. The purpose of this study was to test the effect of TQM practices of teamwork, autonomy and process control on internal knowledge transfer and innovation. The study also tested the role of internal knowledge transfer in mediating the relationship between TQM practices and innovation. This sample size is 85 faculty and high school leaders in Yogyakarta. The hypotheses were tested by means of hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The results of this study show that teamwork, autonomy, and process control has a positive effect on internal knowledge transfer. Autonomy and process control has a positive effect on innovation, while teamwork having no significant effect on innovation. This study proved that the relationship between autonomy and process control on innovation mediated by internal knowledge transfer.
