STUDI POTENSI RETRIBUSI OBYEK WISATA KABUPATEN SLEMAN TAHUN 2008

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi retribusi objek wisata di Kabupaten Sleman tahun 2008. Perhitungan potensi retribusi objek wisata diperlukan untuk melihat penerimaan retribusi objek wisata yang seharusnya dapat diterima pemerintah Kabupaten Sleman serta dapat menjadi dasar untuk menetapkan target penerimaan retribusi objek wisata pada tahun yang akan datang.
Penelitian ini juga menganalisis mengenai efektivitas pemungutan, pertumbuhan, dan kontribusi retribusi objek wisata, serta peluang, hambatan dan strategi masing-masing objek wisata di Kabupaten Sleman. Analisis-analisis tersebut dapat memberikan gambaran mengenai kondisi objek wisata serta strategi yang dapat ditempuh untuk dapat mengembangkannya.
Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif berupa statistik deskriptif dan analisis kualitatif berupa analisis SWOT (strengths, weakness, threats, opportunities). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai realisasi retribusi objek wisata di Kabupaten Sleman tahun 2008 masih jauh dari nilai potensi yang seharusnya dapat diterima oleh pemerintah daerah.
The objective of this thesis is to analyze user charge potency of tourist destinations on Sleman local government at 2008. This analysis is needed to observe user charge potency of tourist destination that should be received by Sleman local government. The potency can be used to estimate a user charge goal that can be received by local government for next years. This research also analyzing the effectiveness, growth, contribution of user charge, opportunities, threats, and strategies to develop tourist destinations on Sleman.
This thesis employs quantitative and qualitative methodology. The quantitative methodology is descriptive statistic and the qualitative methodology is SWOT (strengths, weakness, threats, opportunities) analysis. The results show that achievement value of user charge that received by Sleman local government from tourist destinations at 2008 have wide difference with the user charge that should be received by local government where it is represented by potency.
