One of the success of the implementation of obstacle Total Quality Management (TQM) in the company's management is the failure to consider cultural situation of labor.

This research examines the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) that want to or have been applied in the company of PT. Mondrian, Klaten, where Total Quality Management (TQM) that want to or have been applied in the company have any major obstacles, namely the cultural workforce. So, from goal of this research is identify the suitability of cultural factors in the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in the PT. Mondrian, Klaten, because it was known that one of the prerequisites of success in the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) is a cultural factor of labor, so they need to be reviewed and analyzed.

Goal of this research is to identify the suitability of the factors working against the culture of the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in the PT. Mondrian, Klaten.

Data collected by interviewing 10 informants who are director and manager of PT. Mondrian, Klaten, and opinions of the employees of PT. Mondrian, Klaten of 43 informants through questionnaires. This study uses qualitative research methods with the deductive method of research Measurement Process. Where the method is a phase starting from the phenomenon record the results found at the time of interview, then mengoperasionalisasikannya and then analyze the suitability of the theory of cultural factors on the implementation of the labor force Total Quality Management (TQM). The analysis of the suitability of the culture of the implementation of the labor force Total Quality Management (TQM) is using keywords that have been obtained from the results of interviews with directors and managers. In addition, the data information that is collected is also derived from the opinions of the employees through the questionnaire.

Results from this research shows that cultural factors-labor practices in this company is not fully in accordance construct cultural factors working against the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM), such as familiarity with Total Quality Management (TQM), team leadership and cooperation in the context of Total Quality Management (TQM), cost of measures of quality, employee Involvement and Empowerment employee, performance appraisal system, commitment to quality improvement, problem solving approach, decission making and activities to remove Barriers for reaching consensus, education, training, and learning.
