Evaluasi Implementasi Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system di PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk.

Perubuhan lingkungan bisnis yang semakin kompetitif mempengaruhi cara perusahaan untuk meningkatkan kemampuannya di dalam menghadapi lingkwlgan bisnis yang berubah tersebut, salah satunya adalah dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi sebagai keung ulan daya saing perusahaan. PT TELKOM sebagai incumbent operator berusaha me ingkatkan teknologi informasi dalam menunjang 6 kebijakan strategik untuk mencapai visi dan misi baru perusahaan dalam menghadapi lingkungan bisnis yang semakin kompetitif tersebut. Oleh karena itu, perusahaan mengimplementasi Enterprise Re ource Planning (ERP) System yang dapat menunjang aktivitas bisnis perusahaan d ngan mengadopsi praktik terbaik (best practice) SAP R/3 yang telah banyak digun kan oleh perusahaan telekomunikasi terkemuka di dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan unt k mengevaluasi berbagai aspek tentang implementasi ERP System dalam kaitannya de gan pengembangan perusahaan secara keseluruhan dan efektivitas pengelolaan bisnis perusahaan.
Penge bangan sistem informasi memerlukan persiapan, perencanaan, dan pengendalian ang baik dan sangat intensif Oleh karena itu, pengembanganan sistem memerlukan etodologi yang tepat untuk keberhasilan sistem dan penerimaan oleh pengguna, s rta untuk menghindari adanya penolakan terhadap sistem yang dikembangka (resistance to change). Salah satu metode pengembangan sistem adalah metode SDLC (system development life cycle), dengan tahapan pengembangan meliputi definition ph se, construction phase, dan implementation phase. Untuk menilai efektivitas pengembangan sistem yang dilakukan oleh PT TELKOM, penulis melakukan analisis tahapan-tahapan pengembangan sistem dalam proyek SIMTEL (SAP R/3).
Hasil enelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan sistem yang dilakukan olell PT TELKOM enggunakan metode modified SDLC, yaitu dalam mengembangkan sistem SAP R/3 men gunakan metode Magian yang diperkenalkan oleh konsultan implementor dengan tahapan-tahapan: project preparation, conceptual design, detailed design, realization, an production support. Dengan metode ini perusahaan mampu mempercepat waktu pelaksanaan proyek sampai setengahnya, dan sistem going live tepat pada aktunya. Untuk mengurangi resistensi karyawan terhadap dampak perubahan si tem dalam organisasi, perusahaan melaksanakan program manajemen perubahan (change management) dengan dukungan penuh dari top manajemen.
The business world changed competitively and affects the company's way to enhance their ca ability to face the business environment. PT TELKOM as an incumbent operator endavour to enhance their information technology to support the 6 strategic policy to achieve new vision and mission. Therefore, the company implements Enterprise Resource Planni1g (ERP) System that could support the business activity by adopting the best practice of SAP R/3 which has applied widely over the world class operator. This research aim to evaluate some aspects about the implementation of ERP System in the connection with the company development as a whole and effectiveness of company business management.
System development needs a fit methodology to support a well functioned system and well receive by users, also to avoid the system rejection that has been applied (resistance to change). The one method of system development is SDLC (System Development Lift Cycle) method. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of system
development at TELKOM, therefore be analyzed the step of system development of
SIMTEL (SAP R/3) project.
The result be concluded that PT TELKOM's system development is using the modified SDLC method, that is SAP R/3 system development by Magian method which has introduced by implementor consultant. With this method be hope the company could enhance the velocity to finish a half step project, and to achieve the going live system on time.
