Pengaruh Manajemen Karir terhadap Pengembangan dan Kinerja Karyawan pada Tiga Bank BUMN

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh berbagai aspek proses manajemen karir dengan perilaku pengembangan dan kinerja karyawan. Proses manajemen karir meliputi eksplorasi karir, pengembangan tujuan karir, dan
penggunaan strategi karir untuk mencapai tujuan karir.
Sebagai objek penelitian digunakan karyawan dan atasan karyawan di bank-bank BUMN di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, yaitu Bank Mandiri, Bank BNI, dan Bank BRI. Penetapan sampel dilakukan secara purposive dengan cara memilih sekelompok objek penelitian berdasarkan ciri-ciri atau kriteria tertentu. Analisis regresi digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa ada pengaruh dari dukungan manajer untuk untuk pengembangan, eksplorasi karir, pengembangan tujuan karir, dan implementasi strategi karir terhadap keinginan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan pengembangan, perilaku pengembangan, dan kinerja karyawan.
Hasil analisis mendukung hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dukungan manajer untuk pengembangan, eksplorasi karir, pengembangan tujuan karir, dan implementasi strategi karir terhadap keinginan
individu berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan pengembangan, dan perilaku pengembangan, serta kinerja karyawan. Secara umum, proses manajemen karir berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kata kunci: manajemen karir-partisipasi-perilaku pengembangan-kinerja
The objective of the research is to determine the relationship between different aspects of the career management process and employee development behavior and performance. Career management process include career exploration, career goals development, and strategy implementation. The objects of the research were employees and the manager from several Government Bank in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The objects were chosen by purposive sampling, and was carried out in the Mandiri, BNI, and BRI. Regression analysis was used in order to test the hypotheses stating that there were relationship between manager's support for development, career exploration, career goals development, and strategy implementation to employee's willingness to participate in development activities, development behavior, and employee performance. The results support the hypotheses. It was found that there was a positive influence on manager's support for development, career exploration, career goal development, and strategy implementation to employee's willingness to participate in development activities, development behavior, and employee performance. Generally, career management process was significantly influence to performance. Keyword: career management - participation - development behavior - performance
