Penerapan Earned Value Analysis pada Divisi Software PT Dataprima Grahapratama

Setelah krisis ekonomi pada tahun 1997, bisnis Teknologi Informasi semakin berkembang, terutama bisnis pengembangan software terintegrasi. Menurut penelitian banyak proyek software mengalami kegagalan, oleh karena banyak faktor. Penelitian ini menawarkan penerapan manajemen proyek pada proyek pengembangan software, dengan menggunakan metode Earned Value Analysis sebagai alat pemantau dan pengendali proyek. Proyek yang akan diteliti adalah Proyek PT Bostinco dan PT LEDIN. Kedua perusahaan ini bergerak dalam bidang manufacturing. Sedang jenis software yang akan didevelop adalah software Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP). Masalah yang sering dihadapi oleh PT Dataprima Sejahtera dalam melaksanakan kegiatan proyek sering mengalami keterlambatan dalam penyelesaian proyek. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menganalisis kemungkinan penerapan Earned Value Analysis pada proyek software terutama pada proyek PT Bostinco dan PT LEDIN. Tahap analisis data adalah dengan membuat Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), membuat bobot (weighted factor), membuat estimasi biaya tenaga kerja, jadwal kegiatan proyek dan laporan perkembangan proyek. Melakukan analisis schedule variance, cost variance, Schedule Performance Index, Cost Performance Index. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa proyek PT Bostinco yang seharusnya dijadwalkan selesai pada bulan Oktober 2007 tetapi pada akhir bulan tersebut penyelesaiannya baru sekitar 73,42%. Realisasi biaya proyek rata-rata < 1 atau melebihi estimasi biaya yang dibuat sebelumnya. Sedangkan proyek PT LEDIN yang dijadwalkan selesai pada bulan Mei 2007, ternyata pada akhir bulan Oktober 2007 penyelesaiannya baru sekitar 79,06%. Realisasi biaya proyek rata-rata <1 atau melebihi estimasi biaya yang dibuat sebelumnya. Konsep EVA ini dapat diterapkan disemua tipe proyek, terutama proyek software. Manfaat EVA yaitu menyediakan pengukuran yang obyektif dalam menyelesaikan pekerjaan proyek, membantu manajemen dalam pemantauan dan pengendalikan proyek software, dan membantu dalam membuat keputusan pengembangan strategi perusahaan dan strategi marketing. Information Technology was developed, since economic crisis in 1997. Particurally dealing with integrated software. According to research, there are many software project was cancelled. Therefore this research will propose project management implementation through Earned Value Analysis (EVA) method as a tool for monitoring and controlling software project. The project will be researched are PT Bostinco and PT LEDIN. Both of companies are dealing with manufacturing. PT Dataprima Sejahtera develops Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) software. PT Dataprima Sejahtera is frequently facing the software projects are delaying. So this research is very important for PT Dataprima Sejahtera to analyze the project activity throught Earned Value Analysis implementation, particurally for the project of PT Bostinco and PT LEDIN. The data for analyzing are Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), weighted factor, estimated labor cost, project schedule and project report. The formulation for calculating the data are schedule variance, cost variance, Schedule Performance Index, Cost Performance Index. After collecting the data, we summarize that PT Bostinco project is delayed, that should be finished in October 2007 but until end of October 2007, the completion still around 73,42%. Cost realization<1 or over the budget estimation. PT LEDIN is delayed too, the schedule should be finished in May 2007, but until end of October 2007, the completion still around 79,06%. Cost realization < 1 or over the budget estimation. EVA concept could be implemented in any type of project, particurally in software project. The benefit of EVA are obtaining objective measurement for project completion, helping management in monitoring and controlling software project, and helping management in decision making for developing company strategy and strategy marketing.
