Anteseden dan Konsekuensi Komitmen Organisasional: A 3-Component Model

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menguji pengaruh kepuasan kerja, komitmen organisasional terhadap kinerja karyawan didasarkan pada A-3 Component Model. Data penelitian diperoleh dari 120 karyawan administrasi pada sembilan (9) perguruan tinggi swasta di Daerah Istimewa Y ogyakarta. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden. Pengukuran variabel kepuasan kerja menggunakan 20 item pertanyaan dari Minnesotta Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ), pengukuran variabel komitmen organisasional menggunakan 18 item pertanyaan yang dikembangkan oleh Mayer dan Allen (1991), dan pengukuran variabel kinerja rnenggunakan 10 item pertanyaan yang dikembangkan oleh Wright, et al. (1995). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan structural equation model (SEM).

Basil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (i) kepuasan kerja tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap komitmen afektif, continuance commitment, dan komitmen norrnatif,'(ii) komitmen afektif dan komitmen normatif tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja, sedangkan continuance commitment tidak berpengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja karyawan.

This research was designed to analyze the influences of job satisfaction, and organizational commitment on the performance based on A - 3 Component Model. For this purpose, a sample involving 120 administrative employees of nine (9) selected private universities in Yogyakarta had been investigated.

Methodologically, to measure the job satisfaction, twenty (20) items adapted from MQS were used. Meanwhile, to measure the organizational commitment, eighteen (18) items developed by Mayer and Allen (1991) were applied. In addition, to measure the performance variables, ten (10) items adapted from Wright, et al. (1995) were utilized. In analyzing the data in this research, structural equation model (SEM) had been employed.

This study concluded with two major findings as follows: (1) the job satisfaction was not found to have positive effect on the commitment variables (i.e. a'ffective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment); (2) the two commitment variables (i.e. affective and normative) were not found to have positive effect on the performance of the employees, while the continuance commitment variable was not found to have negative 'effect on the employees performance.
