Munculnya kasus pemogokan dan demontrasi pada sektor industri terutama industri Tekstil di Indonesia pada akhir-akhir ini, disebabkan oleh rendahnya upah yang diterima pekerja. Untuk itu Pemerintah menetapkan ketentuan upah minimum, yang tujuannya untuk melindungi dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan pekerja dan sebagai jaring pengaman (safety nets) bagi industri-industri yang baru tumbuh. Issu umum yang berlaku sehubungan dengan kenaikan upah minimum memberikan kecenderungan berdampak pada harga dan ksempatan kerja.Masalah-masalah dalam penelitian ini akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan model Input-output. Dengan pendekatan demand side, dampak kenaikan upah terhadap harga dapat diketahui dan dengan pendekatan supply side dapat diketahui perubahan output yang terjadi sebagai akibat kenaikan upah dan kemudian dapat dilanjutkan dengan menemukan dampaknya terhadap kesempatan kerja.Dari hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kenaikan upah minimum yang berlaku saat ini akan berdampak menaikan harga secara umum yang relatif kecil_ Hal ini dimungkinkan karena koefisien nilai tambah pada industri Tekstil relatif kecil. Namun dengan simulasi kenaikan upah yang mendekati KFM (K2) dan KFM (K3) dampak harga yang ditimbulkannya cukup berarti. Kenaikan upah ini juga dapat merubah output ke arah positif. Dengan demikian dampaknya terhadap kesempatan kerja juga positif.

The recent appearance of strikes and demontrations in the Indonesian Textile industrial sector is caused by the low-salary rates/wages which are received by workers. As a result the Government decided to fix minimum wages aiming at protecting and increasing the workers• welfare and as a safety nets to the new growing industries. However this situation is seen to have already created a negative tendency in relation to prices and job opportunities. The problems presented in this research study where alalyzed using the Input-output model. Using the demand side approach, changes in output and the effects of employee opportunities where analyzed in relation to the increases in salararies /wages.From the research done, it was observed that the recent increase in minimum wages will lead to a slight relattive increase in the general price levels. This is possibly as a result of the relatively small increase/ additions in the coefficient values in the textile industry. However using simulations the increase in wage for families with two children in relation to their (minimum physical needs) and families with three children in relation to the same issu in good enough. Besides that, this given increase in wage also has a positive change toward the outlook of industrial output. As a result, this also have got a positive influence toward job opportunities.
