Information technology being important thing in educational institutions. Using McFarlan and McKenney's Strategic Grid, this paper tries to find out about the student's perception of the importance of IT in E-Learning process. The research use student of FE UGM as the respondents. The respondents fill the questionnaires that made by McCash and McFarlan. The result shows that student in FE UGM think that IT in FE UGM is so important in the present and future days. Its define that FE UGM in "strategic" position of McFarlan and McKenney's Strategic Grid. For the future research, additional information from lectures and about faculty facilities will give comprehensive results.
