Analisis Penerapan Total Safety Management pada Perusahaan manufaktur: Studi Mengenai Keselamatan Kerja Perusahaan Manufaktur berdasar pendekatan Total Quality Management di Kawasan Industri Terboyo Semarang

Penelitian ini menganalisis penerapan Total Safety Managementt berdasar Deming Management Method Dalam penelitian ini dianalisis hubungan simultan variabel-variabel dalam Total Sqfety management, yaitu visionary leadership, employee empowerment, learning, sqfety process management, continuous improvement, employee fi1ffillment, dan customer sati.ifaction. Model yang digunakan adalah model dalam penelitian Karuppan (1996). Data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 98 perusahaan yang telah menjawab kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan Analysis Moment Struktural dan program Amos 3.6. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan simultan antara visionary leadership dan employee empowerment dan learning secara statistic signifikan. Hubungan simultan antara employee empowerment dan learning dan safety process management secara statistik signifikan. Hubungan simultan antara safety process management dan continuous improvement dan employee fulfillment secara statistik signifikan, sedangkan hubungan simultan antara continuous improvement dan employee fulfillment dan customer satisfaction secara statistik tidak signifikan. Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa manajemen perusahaan telah mampu menjelaskan visi keselamatan kerja, didukung dengan keterlibatan karyawan dan adanya proses pembelajaran sehingga mendukung manajemen proses. Dengan diperhatikannya keselamatan kerja pada saat proses produksi, maka karyawan akan merasa kebutuhannya terpenuhi sehingga tercapai kepuasan diantara seluruh anggota perusahaan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perusahaan-perusahaan manufaktur di Kawasan Industri Terboyo Semarang masih perlu memperhatikan inovasi melalui perbaikan secara kontinyu terhadap kualitas keselamatan kerja.

This study analyse the implementation of Total Safety Management based on Deming Management Method. This research analysed the relationship between variables in the Total Safety Management, which were visionary leadership, employee empowerment, learning, safety process management, continuous improvement, employee fulfillment, and customer satisfaction. The model applied from Karuppan (1996) model. The data of this study used 98 company which has answered the questionaire. The analysis technique used the Analysis Moment Structural and AMOS 3.6 package program.The results showed that the simultaneous relationship between visionary leadership and employee empowerment and learning was statistically significant. The simultaneous relationship between employee empowerment and learning and safety process management was statistically significant. The simultaneous relationship between safety process management and continuous improvement and employee fulfillment was statistically significant, besides the simultaneous relationship between continuous improvement and employee fulfillment and customer satisfaction was not statistically significant.This results showed that management of the companies had ability to explain safety management vision, which was supported by the employee involvement and learning process, so it would support management process. The attention on safety process management would affect employee fulfillment, so all of the company members would felt satisfie. The implication of this study was the manufacturing companies at Kawasan Industri Terboyo Semarang must pay attention on inovation with continuous improvement on safety management.
