The relationship of leverage, dividend, investment opportunity set, profitability and size to managerial ownership in Indonesia
AMANIA, Rr. CINDY AYU , Prof. Indra Wijaya Kusuma, MBA, Ph.D
This research is based on previous research done by Mahadwartha (2003) to test the
relationship of leverage policy, dividend policy, investment opportunity, profitability
and size to managerial ownership policy. The independent variables are leverage,
dividend, investment opportunity, profitability and size. Managerial ownership as
dependent variable is regressed to these independent variables. I use non financial
firms because their characteristics and accounting records are different from financial
firms. The research period is from year 2003 until year 2007. There are 28 firms with
132 observations.
Ordinary Least Squares is use to analyze the data. The result shows that
investment opportunity and size are significantly affecting managerial ownership.
Leverage, dividend and profitability do not affecting managerial ownership.
