Analisis hubungan kepemilikan institusional, kepemilikan keluarga dan kompensasi manajemen dengan kinerja perusahaan manufaktur, bank dan lembaga keuangan

This research examines the relationship of institutional ownership, family ownership and managerial compensation with firm performance. The firms examined are categorized as manufacturing, bank and financial institution. Based on the theory, institutional ownership, family ownership and management compensation are mechanisms that can allign principle's and agent's interest to minimize agency conflict that can affect firm performance. Institutional ownership, family ownership and management compensation are hypothized to have positive relationship with manufacturing firm performance. Institutional ownership and management compensation are hyphothized to have positive relationship with bank and financial institution performance. Family ownership is hyphotized to have negative relationship with bank and financial institution performance. The samples are drawn from firms listed at the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2006 to 2007 using purposive sampling method. Using multiple regression analysis, the results show the existence of positive relationship between institutional ownership and bank and financial institution performance. Based on this research limitations, the results were not able to confirm all of the hyphothesis formulated.
