EVALUASI TERHADAP PENGELOLAAN PENGENDALIAN DALAM IMPLEMENTASI SAP (Studi kasus di PT Telkom)

Perubahan lingkungan bisnis yang pesat dengan adanya globalisasi di sektor ekonomi menyebabkan meningkatnya tingkat persaingan bisnis baik dalam skala lokal maupun intemasional. Dengan demikian agar perusahaan dapat tetap survive dan kompetitif diantara para pesaingnya maka diperlukan pengelolaan aktivitas perusahaan secara efektif dan efisien, tak dapat dipungkiri bahwa peran teknologi informasi sangat membantu manajemen dalam pengelolaan perusahaan, dengan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dapat mendorong perusahaan mempunyai keunggulan kompetitif dan daya saing.
Saat ini PT TELKOM telah mengimplementasikan suatu sistem Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) yaitu SAP (sistem, applications, and Products in Data processing), suatu aplikasi ERP yang telah banyak digunakan oleh perusahaan-perusahaan besar baik manufaktur maupun perusahaan jasa. Sistem teknologi informasi yang digunakan didalam perusahaan mempunyai peran yang sangat vital dalam menunjang kegiatan bisnis perusahaan. Peran tersebut tentunya tidak akan tercapai apabila sistem informasi tersebut menghadapi berbagai kendala dalam implementasinya, sehingga diperlukan suatu pengendalian dan keamanan sistem informasi (information sistems control dan security).
Dan evaluasi diketahui bahwa dalam implementasi SAP di TELKOM menggunakan 2 pendekatan yaitu: Pilot approach dan Phase conversion approach, dalam operasionalnya belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal dalam pengambilan keputusan, terdapat kesalahan dalam menerapkan proses bisnis SAP, konsep implementasi SAP belum diarankan ke prosedur multi-user. Untuk mengurangi resistensi karyawan, perusahaan perlu melaksanakan program manajemen perubahan.
The rapid change in business environment as the result of globalization in economic sector has caused an intense business competition in both local and international scale. Therefore, a company who wants to be survive and competitive among its competitors must have an effective and efficient management in its operation activities. It cannot be denied that the role of information technology is very helpful in company's management. The use of information technology can support the company to achieve competitive advantage and become competitive.
Today, PT TELKOM has implemented an Entreprise Resource Planning system (ERP), that is, SAP (System, Applications, and Products in Data Processing), an application of ERP that has been widely used among big companies in both manufacturing and service industry. The information technology in a company has a vital role in supporting business activities of the company. Of course, this role will be unsuccessful if the information system faces many difficulties in its implementation, therefore, an information system control and security is needed.
From the evaluation to PT TELKOM, it is found out that in the implementation of SAP, the company uses two approaches, that is, pilot approach and phase conversion approach. In the operation, they have not done yet in optimum on making decision. Also, there is a mistake in the implementation of SAP business process, the concept of SAP implementation has not been directed towards multi-user procedure. Therefore, the company must implement a change management program in order to alleviate the resistance from its employees.
