Pengaruh Port Efficiency Dalam Perdagangan Bilateral Indonesia-Uni Eropa: Pendekatan Model Gravitasi

Pemerintah Indonesia menandatangani kerjasama perdagangan dan investasi dengan pemerintah Uni Eropa. Biaya transportasi menjadi hambatan dalam kerjasama ini. Port efficiency merupakan bagian dari biaya transportasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi pengaruh port efficiency terhadap total perdagangan bilateral Indonesia-Uni Eropa. Penelitian ini menggunakan model gravitasi. Proksi port efficiency yang digunakan quality of port infrastructure (QPI) dan logistic performance Index (LPI) beserta komponennya. Alat analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah common effect dan two stage least squares. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah port efficiency berpengaruh positif terhadap total perdagangan bilateral Indonesia-Uni Eropa. Selain itu, port efficiency mempunyai pengaruh yang berbeda-beda untuk setiap jenis produk. Kualitas infrastruktur pelabuhan, kualitas logistik pelabuhan, dan ketepatan waktu pengiriman barang merupakan komponen detail port efficiency yang perlu diperhatikan pemerintah Indonesia dalam perdagangan bilateral Indonesia-Uni Eropa.
Indonesian government assigned the cooperation agreement of trade and investment with European Union governmental office. Transportation cost has becoming the obstacle on this cooperation. Port efficiency is part of transportation cost. This research has an aim to estimate the effect of port efficiency to total bilateral trade between Indonesia and European Union. This research uses gravitation model. It uses quality of port infrastructure (QPI) and logistic performance index (LPI) and its components as the port efficiency proxy. The tools of analysis in this research are common effect and two stage least squares. Result of this research is that the port efficiency has positive impact with trade agreement between Indonesia and European Union. Besides, the component of port efficiency eventually has different impact on each product. The quality of port infrastructure, port logistic, and timelines are the detailed components of port efficiency the government of Indonesia and European Union need to pay attention to.
