Merger and acquisition activity is often as a reflection of company willingness to develop the company. This research intends to value market reaction for merger and acquisition activity of company which is seen from company stock volume trading activity and to value whether merger and acquisition of the company give influence to company financial performance. The valuation used in observing market reaction of merger and acquisition is stock volume trading activity and in observing company financial performance, this research uses financial ratios (ROI, CR and DA). This research uses t-test with Paired Two Sample for Means. In addition, for normal undistributed data, it uses non-parametric test with Wilcoxon Test. The result of examination shows, merger and acquisition activity done by go public company does not significantly influence investing decision from stock volume trading activity and financial aspect perspective.
