Issues regarding workplace spirituality have been receiving increased attention in the organizational sciences, and the implications of workplace spirituality for practice make this a fast growing area of new research and inquiry by scholars. One important question in the field of workplace spirituality concerns the relationship of this construct with employee work attitudes. The purpose of this research is to make a rigorous empirical examination of the relationship between workplace spirituality and affective commitment as a prevalent employee job attitudinal variables, using a sample of 50 workers employed in BMT Beringharjo, Yogyakarta. The results provide the empirical support that there is a positive association between spirituality at work and affective commitment. However, partially, the two of workplace spirituality dimensions; sense of community and alignment with organizational values did not have a significant relationship with affective commitment

Isu mengenai spiritualitas di tempat kerja (workplace spirituality) mendapat perhatian yang terus meningkat di dalam ilmu pengetahuan organisasi. Salah satu pertanyaan penting pada bidang ini adalah mengenai hubungan workplace spirituality terhadap sikap kerja karyawan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan pengujian empiris yang valid terhadap hubungan antara workplace spirituality dan komitmen afektif sebagai sebuah variabel sikap kerja yang telah dikenal oleh banyak kalangan, dengan mengambil sampel 50 karywana yang bekerja di BMT Beringharjo, Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian ini memberi bukti bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara spiritualitas di tempat kerja terhadap komitmen afektif karyawan. Namun, secara parsial, dua dimensi workplace spirituality, yaitu; sense of community dan alignment with organizational values tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap komitmen afektif
