Faktor-faktor yang Mempengaruhi Pekerja Indonesia untuk Mengadopsi Aplikasi Kantor dan Pesan Mobile

Teknologi mobile berkembang dengan sangat pesat dewasa ini. Sebuah perangkat mobile tidak hanya bisa digunakan untuk melakukan panggilan telepon atau mengirim SMS, tetapi juga untuk menjelajah internet, cek email, bahkan menyusun dokumen-dokumen kantor. Riset ini mencoba mencari tahu faktor-faktor apa yang mempengaruhi adopsi aplikasi kantor dan pesan mobile oleh pekerja Indonesia. Dengan mengaplikasikan model Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) dan melakukan survei online dan berbasis email, riset ini membuktikan bahwa ekspektasi upaya dan faktor-faktor sosial secara signifikan mempengaruhi intensi (minat) pekerja untuk menggunakan aplikasi kantor dan pesan mobile. Selain itu, kondisi pemfasilitasi terbukti secara signifikan mempengaruhi penggunaan aplikasi tersebut. Metode partial least squares (PLS) diaplikasikan untuk menganalisis model tersebut. Mobile technology develops very rapidly nowadays. A mobile device can now be used not only to make a call or send an SMS, but also to browse the internet, check email, even to create office documents. This research tries to figure out what factors influencing the adoption of mobile office and messaging applications by Indonesian workers. By applying the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model and conducting online and email based survey, this research proves that effort expectancy and social factors significantly influence a workers intention to adopt (use) mobile office and messaging applications, and that facilitating conditions significantly influence the use behavior of applications mentioned. Partial least squares (PLS) method is applied to analyze the model. Keywords: mobile technology, mobile applications, UTAUT, partial least squares (PLS).
