Arsitektur dan Makna Filosofis yang Terdapat Pada Keraton Paser di Kalimantan Timur

Objek yang diteliti ialah arsitektur dan makna filosofis Keraton Paser di Kabupaten Paser, Kalimantan Timur. Permasalahan yang dijawab pada penelitian ini ialah bentuk arsitektur Keraton Paser, pengaruh budaya, serta makna filosofis yang terkandung di dalamnya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka, observasi lapangan, dan dianalisis dengan melakukan perbandingan terhadap beberapa komponen yang terdapat pada arsitektur tradisional Banjar. Tujuannya untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk arsitektur secara keseluruhan, melihat pengaruh budaya, serta mengungkap makna filosofis pada arsitektur keraton tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini terkait dengan bentuk bangunan, pengaruh budaya yang masuk, serta adanya makna filosofis pada arsitektur Keraton Paser. Arsitektur Keraton Paser memperlihatkan bentuk dari bangunan tradisional Paser, selain itu pada beberapa komponen juga terdapat pengaruh unsur budaya barat dan Islam, di antaranya di bagian pintu, jendela, dan ornamen hias. Ketiga unsur budaya saling berpadu sehingga memperlihatkan bentuk arsitektur yang lebih megah dan indah. Dari perpaduan bentuk arsitektur tersebut juga memunculkan makna filosofis dalam hal sosial seperti adanya unsur kedudukan derajat serta dalam hal keyakinan atau agama.

Research objective of the study is the architecture and philosophical meaning of Paser Palace in Paser District, East Kalimantan. The gap of research is to investigate shape of Paser Palace architecture, cultural influence and the meaning which is contained in it. The data collection completed collected through review of literature study, field observation, and analyzed with comparing several component of traditional Banjar architecture. The purpose of this study is to describe the condition of architecture as a whole, to investigate the influence of culture, and to reveal the philosophical meaning in the element of Paser Palace architecture. The results of this study are related to the condition and shape of the building, cultural influences on traditional architectural components, as well as the existence of philosophical meaning. The architecture of the Paser palace showed a traditional form of Paser building. Moreover, several components also gained by the influence of colonial culture and Islamic culture. For instance, part of the door, window, and ornament. The three cultural elements combine into one shape to show more magnificent and beautiful architectural form. So, the result of that combination showed appearance of philosophical meaing particularly in status of social level and faith or religion.
