Pemikiran tentang Tuhan dalam kehidupan modern semakin terancam eksistensinya. Sunda Wiwitan adalah salah satu kepercayaan lokal yang didasari oleh kepercayaan Tuhan yang terancam keberadaanya. Lemahnya pengetahuan tentang Tuhan membuat eksistensi mereka terancam oleh perkembangan zaman. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan terus menurunnya jumlah penganut kepercayaan tersebut, minimnya perlindungan, dan terjadinya beberapa kasus yang bertentangan dengan eksistensi mereka seperti sengketa lahan adat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyadarkan bahwa pentingnya memahami Tuhan dalam kehidupan untuk melindungi eksistensi, identitas, dan dasar kepercayaan dari modernitas khusunya bagi mereka penganut Sunda Wiwitan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelitian ini adalah analisis filsafat ketuhanan meliputi eksistensi Tuhan, sifat-sifat-Nya, sejarah perkemabangan, hingga metode penghayatan kepada-Nya. Setiap butir analisis digunakan untuk mengolah setiap butir kebudayaan yang melekat pada kepercayaan Sunda Wiwitan kemudian dicari keterkaitan real dan logisnya untuk mencari hakikat Tuhan dalan kepercayaan tersebut. Analisis ini diperkuat dengan pendapat para filsuf dan perbandingan pemikiran tentang Tuhan dalam kepercayaan lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ditemukannya sistem pemikiran ketuhanan Sunda Wiwitan. Eksistensi Tuhan dapat dibuktikan dengan setiap keberadaan dunia, keteraturan semesta, pengetahuan manusia, dan adanya kebaikan dan keburukan. Tuhan yang dikenal dalam kepercayaan tersebut adalah wujud yang tunggal dalam realitas tunggal sehingga keberadaanya berada di luar jangkauan manusia. Tuhan berelasi dengan manusia dengan memberikan dunia sempurna, kehidupan, pengetahuan, perlindungan, dan pengadilan kepada manusia. Tuhan memberikan petunjuk melalui utusan-Nya dan pedoman berupa pikukuh dan buyut. Manusia menanggapi pemberian Tuhan dengan mentaati pikukuh, melakukan ibadah, dan menjalankan kehidupan adat sehingga terciptalah kehidupan adat religius dan hamoni antara manusia dan alam.

Thought of God in existence is threatened by modern life. Sunda Wiwitan is one of the local beliefs based on the trust of God who is threatened its existence. Weak knowledge of God makes their existence threatened by the times. This is evidenced by the continuing decline in the number of believers, the lack of protection, and the occurrence of several cases that are contrary to their existence such as customary land disputes. The purpose of this research is to make aware that it is important to understand God in life to protect the existence, identity, and basic beliefs from modernity especially for those Sundanese Wiwitan. The method used in this study is the analysis of philosophy of God including the existence of God, His attributes, the history of propagation, until the method of appreciation to Him. Each grain analysis is used to cultivate every grain of culture that is attached to the belief of Sunda Wiwitan then sought the real and logical connection to find the essence of God in the belief. This analysis is reinforced by the philosophers' opinions and comparisons of thoughts about God in other beliefs. The results of this research is the discovery of the system of thinking Sunda Wiwitan. The existence of God can be proved by every existence of the world, the order of the universe, human knowledge, and the existence of good and evil. The God who is known in that belief is a single being in a single reality so that his existence is beyond human reach. God relates to man by giving the perfect world, life, knowledge, protection, and judgment to man. God gives guidance through His messengers and guidance of pikukuh and buyut. Humans respond to God's gift by obeying the pikukuh, performing worship, and living the customary life so that it creates a life of religious custom and hamony between man and nature.
