EVALUASI POST MORTEM POTENSI HIDROKARBON PADA LAPANGAN 'YS', CEKUNGAN BARITO, PROVINSI KALIMANTAN TIMUR

Lapangan 'YS'merupakan salah satu lapangan eksplorasi PT Saka Energy Indonesia yang terletak di bagian Cekungan Barito, Kalimantan Timur. Pada cekungan tersebut sudah terbukti menghasilkan hidrokarbon dan objek penelitian merupakan Formasi Berai. Formasi Berai diketahui memiliki nilai ekonomis karena keterdapatan sumber daya gas bumi dan batuan karbonat yang berpotensi sebagai reservoar. Permasalahan pada penelitian ini terkait dengan temuan hidrokarbon yang tidak berpotensi untuk dilanjutkan ke tahap pengembangan dengan dilakukannya plugged and abandoned pada sumur eksplorasi pada area penelitian. Evaluasi post mortem dilakukan dengan menggunakan kajian bawah permukaan dan kajian potensi hidrokarbon untuk mengetahui kegagalan pada sumur YS-1, YS-2, YS-3 dan YS-4. Kajian ini menggunakan 4 sumur eksplorasi, data seismik dan data sekunder dari peneliti terdahulu. Berdasarkan interpretasi bawah permukaan diperoleh reservoar memiliki kualitas yang baik pada area Early Miocene dan source rock yang berpotensi menghasilkan hidrokarbon. Kajian potensi hidrokarbon meliputi analisis petroleum system yang menunjukkan perkembangan parameter tersebut berkembang dengan baik namun secara lateral reservoar terbatas. Pada petroleum play terdapat closure pada reservoar di Formasi Berai. Berdasarkan kajian bawah permukaan dan potensi hidrokarbon, kegagalan dominan pada lapangan ini disebabkan oleh terbatasnya reservoar kualitas baik selain itu titik pemboran yang kurang tepat dan buruknya kondisi lubang sumur. Hasil evaluasi post mortem mengacu pada kajian tersebut menunjukkan area penelitian memiliki potensi yang layak untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai lapangan produktif.

The 'YS' field is one of the oil and gas exploration fields owned by PT Saka Energy Indonesia located in the Barito Basin, East Kalimantan. Object of research is Berai Formation and lied in Barito Basin that has been proven to be produced hydrocarbons and the. Berai Formation is known to have economic properties due to the availability of natural gas resources and carbonate rocks as reservoirs. The problems in this study are related to non-existing hydrocarbon findings to be continued into the development stage by plugged and abandoned on the exploration wells in the study area. Post mortem evaluation was performed using subsurface studies and hydrocarbon potential studies to determine failure of YS-1, YS-2, YS-3 and YS-4 wells. This study uses 4 exploration wells, seismic data and secondary data from previous researchers. Based on the subsurface interpretation, the reservoir has good quality in Early Miocene area and source rock produce hydrocarbons. Study of hydrocarbon potential include petroleum systems that show the development of well-developed parameters and laterally limited reservoirs. there is a closure on the reservoir of Berai Formation in petroleum play. Based on subsurface studies and hydrocarbon potentials, the dominant failure in the field is due to limited good quality reservoirs, in addition to drilling points is not precisely correct and poorly wellbore conditions. The results of post mortem evaluation referring to these studies show that the research area has the potential to be further developed as a productive field.
