Dump truck merupakan kendaraan yang digunakan untuk memindahkan material-material pertambangan dari site menuju ke tempat pembuangan yang telah disediakan. Permasalahan yang sering terjadi pada dump truck Komatsu HD785-7 adalah masalah Hi Blow-by Pressure. Hi Blow-by Pressure adalah kebocoran tekanan dari combustion chamber ke oil pan yang berlebih. Dampak terhadap dump truck dari permasalahan ini adalah terjadinya penurunan tekanan, maksudnya adalah dump truck kehilangan tenaga untuk melakukan pergerakan dan fungsi kerjanya. Penurunan tenaga disebabkan karena adanya kebocoran tekanan ke oil pan yang berlebih, kebocoran tekanan itu melalui celah piston dan piston ring, dan dampak yang lain adalah terjadinya keausan yang berlebih terhadap komponenkomponen mesin diesel yang dilumasi. Tujuan dari pembelajaran ini adalah untuk membedakan antara dump truck dengan kondisi standard dan yang mengalami kerusakan yang disebabkan masalah Hi Blow-by Pressure, untuk menganalisa penyebab dari Hi Blow-by Pressure pada dump truck Komatsu HD785-7, untuk mengetahui gejala-gejala dari Hi Blow-by Pressure, dan untuk menganalisa akibat dari permasalahan Hi Blow-by Pressure pada mesin diesel dump truck Komatsu HD785-7. Metode yang digunakan penulis dalam pembelajaran ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Beberapa Teknik yang digunakan penulis dalam pembelajaran ini adalah teknik interview, teknik pengamatan secara langsung, dan Teknik pendokumentasian. Dari hasil pembelajaran tentang masalah Hi Blow-by Pressure dapat ditarik beberapa kesimpulan. Pertama bahwa ditemukan tekanan gas keluar dari hose brather mesin diesel, yang kedua diketahui bahwa terjadi penurunan tenaga pada mesin diesel dump truck Komatsu HD785-7, yang ketiga ditemukan penyebab masalah Hi Blow-by Pressure adalah adanya keausan antara piston rings dan cylinder liner, keausan terjadi akibat adanya debu yang masuk ke dalam combustion chamber yang masuk melalui lubang pada hose hump dan terselip diantara piston ring dan cylinder liner sehingga keausan terjadi.

Dump truck is an equipment to move materials from the mining site to the disposal place that have been provided. The common problem which is found in Komatsu dump truck HD785-7 is Hi Blow-by Pressure . Hi Blow-by Pressure is an excessive leak of pressure from combustion chamber to the oilpan. The effect of Hi Blow-by Pressure on dump truck is make the power low, it means that dump truck losses the power effectiveness and the optimum ability to work. The power low caused due to the excessive leak of pressure into the oil pan through the piston and piston ring and the other effect is excessive wear of lubrication engine component. The aim of study are to distinguish the condition between the dump truck in standard and the damaged dump truck because of Hi Blow-by Pressure , to analyse the caused of Hi Blow-by Pressure in Komatsu dump truck HD785-7, to recognize the defects of Hi Blow-by Pressure , and to analyse the effect of Hi Blow-by Pressure problem for the Komatsu dump truck HD785-7 diesel engine. The method that have been used by author in this study was descriptive method by qualitative approach. Several techniques which were used by author in this study were interview technique, supervision technique, and documentation technique. From the result of the study some conclusion can be drawn. The first is pressurized gas out from engine breather hose, the second is low power occurred in the Komatsu dump truck HD785-7 diesel engine, the third is the cause of Hi Blow-by Pressure problem is wearing out between piston rings and liner cylinder, the wearing out occur because there was many dust between piston rings and liner cylinder which erode both of them, dust comes from the air and entering to the air induction system through a hole in hose hump then the dust carried away to the combustion chamber.
