Analisa Penerapan Material Requirement Planning (MRP) Untuk Sienta Front Disc Brake di PT Akebono Brake Astra Indonesia

Material adalah masukan penting yang harus diperhatikan dalam proses produksi. Material yang dimaksud dapat berupa bahan mentah maupun komponen pembentuk suatu produk yang digunakan untuk proses produksi lebih lanjut. Untuk mendukung proses produksi diperlukan suatu sistem yaitu Material Requirement Planning (MRP) untuk merencanakan kebutuhan material. Tujuannya yaitu untuk mengetahui jumlah kebutuhan material setiap komponen juga sebagai pengendali agar tidak terjadi kekurangan material maupun kelebihan material. Pembuatan MRP membutuhkan beberapa data pendukung seperti bill of material, inventory data, customer order dan lead time. Data tersebut adalah data mentah yang digunakan sebagai acuan dalam perhitungan usage dan MRP. MRP mencakup perencanaan jumlah material yang dibutuhkan dan jumlah material yang harus disimpan untuk produksi bulan selanjutnya. Berdasarkan MRP, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa fluktuasi customer order tidak memengaruhi persediaan. MRP sebagai alat pengendali persediaan, dibuktikan dengan tidak adanya kekurangan material di bawah level standard 0,75 dan diketahui pula bahwa dengan sistem ini didapatkan inventory level yang stabil. Sehingga, dengan adanya MRP ini produksi dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan tidak terjadi line stop.

Material is the most important things to be considered in a production process. It means that the material can be raw material or component forming which used on the next production process. To support production process, a planning system is required. One kind of a well-organized planning system is called Material Requirement Planning (MRP). It is responsible to make a plan for material needed on the production system. It is also utilized as controller that responsible in avoiding material shortages and overloads. MRP required a few support data such as bill of material, inventory data, customer order and lead time. Those data are raw data that used to be the reference in making usage and MRP calculation. This includes the planning the amount of material needed and the amount of material to be stored for the next month’s production. Based on MRP calculation, its conclude that the fluctuation of customer order doesn’t affect the MRP calculation. MRP was able as stock control device which is proved by the absence of material deficiencies below the standard level of 0.75 and stable inventory level. Therefore, MRP system could support the production process to be run smoothly and prevent the line stop.
