Case Based Reasoning Untuk Rekomendasi Topik dan Dosen Pembimbing Skripsi

Skripsi adalah karya ilmiah yang ditulis mahasiswa jenjang strata 1 sebagai syarat utama untuk memperoleh gelar sarjana. Skripsi merupakan suatu indikator untuk mengukur pemahaman atau ketercapaian disiplin ilmu mahasiswa selama masa perkuliahan. Sebelum menulis sebuah skripsi mahasiswa akan menentukan topik atau tema dari penelitiannya dengan melakukan kajian pustaka, berkonsultasi dengan dosen, menggunakan salah satu mata kuliah pilihan sebagai acuan untuk topik atau mencari informasi topik-topik yang pernah diteliti oleh mahasiswa terdahulu. Setelah mahasiswa menentukan topik skripsi, maka tahap selanjutnya adalah mahasiwa mencari dosen pembimbing yang relevan dengan topik yang akan ditelitinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan Case Based Reasoning (CBR) untuk memberikan rekomendasi topik dan dosen pembimbing skripsi kepada mahasiswa S1 Teknik Informatika Bumigora Mataram. Inputan dari sistem adalah nilai mata kuliah wajib dan mata kuliah pilihan yang telah diambil oleh mahasiswa. Sistem CBR akan menyelesaikan permasalahan baru menggunakan solusi dari permasalahan lama yaitu dengan cara menghitung nilai kedekatan atau similaritas antara permasalahan baru dengan seluruh kasus lama yang tersimpan dalam basis kasus menggunakan metode manhattan distance. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa Case Based Reasoning dapat digunakan sebagai sistem rekomendasi topik dan dosen pembimbing skripsi. Tahap pengujian menggunakan 280 data dengan metode K-fold Cross Validation, dimana nilai K yang digunakan adalah 7, 10 dan 13. Nilai akurasi terbaik diperoleh untuk K=13 dengan nilai 94,34% disusul K = 10 sebesar 93, 99% dan K= 7 sebesar 93,95%.

Undergraduate thesis is a scientific paper written by graduate students as the main requirement to obtain a bachelor's degree. Undergraduate thesis is an indicator to measure comprehension or achievement of student discipline during lecture. Before writing a undergraduate thesis, students will determine the topic or theme of its research by conducting a literature review, consulting with the lecturer, using one of the elective courses as a reference for the topic or seeking information on topics previously studied by the student. After the students determine the topic of the undergraduate thesis, then the next step is that for the student to look for a lecturer who is relevant to the topic to be examined. This research uses Case Based Reasoning (CBR) to provide recommendation of topics and lecturers undergraduate thesis to students of S1 Informatics Engineering Bumigora Mataram. Input from the system is the value of compulsory subjects and elective courses that have been taken by students. The CBR system will solve new problems using the solution of the old problem by calculating the value of proximity or similarity between the new case with all the old cases stored in the base case using the method of manhattan distance. Based on the results of implementation shows that Case Based Reasoning can be used as a recommendation system for topic and undergraduate thesis supervisor. Test phase used 280 data with K-fold Cross Validation method, where the value of K used were 7, 10 and 13. The best accuracy value obtained for K = 13 was with the value of 94,34% followed by K = 10 equal to 93, 99% and K = 7 for 93,95%.
