PROTOKOL KOMUNIKASI ASTM PADA ALAT AUTOMATED CLINICAL ANALYZER TMS50I SUPERIOR

ASTM International (American Society for Testing Materials International) merupakan sebuah organisasi standard internasional yang mengeluarkan standard operasional dan dikembangkan dalam bidang teknis yang mencangkup perangkat instrumen, produk, sistem dan peralatan. Dalam bidang peralatan medis, standard tersebut didesain secara khusus untuk pengiriman sederet data medik. Salah satunya digunakan dalam komunikasi antara Clinical Laboratory Instruments dan computer systems. Implementasi standard ASTM tersebut perlu disesuaikan dalam penggunaan Clinical Laboratory Instruments. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengetahui implementasi ASTM perlu dilakukan pengamatan terhadap alat ukur yang sesungguhnya, melihat sudut pandang dari sisi protokol komunikasi yang disesuaikan dengan jenis standard ASTM. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengamatan terhadap piranti analisis darah menggunakan alat Automated Clinical Analyzer TMS50i Superior. Pengamatan yang didapatkan memperlihatkan bahwa alat Automated Clinical Analyzer TMS50i Superior menggunakan standard ASTM jenis E 1381-91 dan E 1394-91. Standar ini sesungguhnya hanya digunakan secara khusus dalam penggunaan Clinical Laboratory Instruments. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada implementasinya tidak semua jenis standard ASTM diperlukan pada Clinical Laboratory Instruments, akan tetapi disesuaikan dengan kebutuhannya.

ASTM International (American Society for Testing Materials International) is an international standards organization that develops and publishes voluntary consensus technical standards for a wide range of materials, products, systems, services, and equipment. In medical devices, the ASTM standards is designed specifically and supports the transfer of an array of medical data. It can be found in the communication systems between Clinical Laboratory Instruments and computer systems. The implementation of ASTM standards need to be adjusted for specifically in the use of Clinical Laboratory Instruments. Therefore, in ASTM standards uses, it is necessary to observe the actual instrument by the communication protocol side adjusted to the ASTM standard type. In this research, the observation focus on blood analysis using Automated Clinical Analyzer TMS50i Superior. The observations showed that Automated Clinical Analyzer Superior TMS50i has used ASTM standard E 1381-91 and E 1394-91. This standard is used specifically in Clinical Laboratory Instruments. In conclusion, not all types of ASTM standard�s implementation are required on Clinical Laboratory Instruments, but it depends on their needs.
