West Java is a province located in the western part of the island of Java, bordered by Central Java to the east and the Special Capital Region of Jakarta and Banten to the west. The Central Agency of Statistics states that as of 2015, West Java is home to a population of 46 million people. Being a destination for industry, tourism, and education, it is essential that West Java is serviced by entry and exit points for passenger and logistics movement. Due to the near-capacity service of Husein Sastranegara International Airport in Bandung, the government is currently building a larger capacity airport for West Java, Kertajati International Airport. Access to Kertajati International Airport, located 60 kilometers from Bandung, will be an issue. An alternative for surface access to the airport that can be developed is extending the currently planned Jakarta-Bandung high speed rail line from the current planned last station in Tegal Luar (Bandung) to Kertajati. This final project covers the design of the station layout of an integrated high-speed railway station at Kertajati International Airport. The scope of this final project includes the station layout and the technical specifications of the station area and facilities by using parameters set by the Ministry of Transportation and the California High Speed Train Project (CHSTP) Design Criteria. In addition to technical specifications, a wayfinding system will be designed as a facility for passenger flow within the station. The design of the station layout results in a station that is able to serve 18.168 passengers per day with a total station building area of 3.384 m2 with 2 departure platforms and 1 arrival platform capable of servicing a 16-car trainset with a length of 430 meters. In addition, using the CHSTP Design Criteria as parameters for design provides to be in compliance with government regulations.
