REPRODUKSI OTORITARIANISME PADA NOVEL LES DIEUX ONT SOIF KARYA ANATOLE FRANCE

Otoriter merupakan gaya kepemimpinan seorang diktator yang bersifat memaksa kepada setiap anggotanya untuk mematuhi suatu pertaturan yang telah dibuat. Gaya kepemimpinan yang dianggap menyalahgunakan kekuasaan seperti ini merupakan satu fenomena yang sering terjadi dan sering sekali ditemui dalam karya-karya sastrawan perancis, terutama novelnya. Sebagian besar kejadian dibungkus dengan cerita yang yang merupakan hasil adaptasi dalam kejadian nyata yang menginsiparsi pengarang. Les Dieux Ont Soif, sebuah novel karya Anatole France diterbitkan tahun 1912 merupakan novel sejarah yang berlatarbelakang revolusi perancis. Dikonstruksikan dengan penggambaran seorang diktator yang tidak menyadari bahwa dirinya sedang mereproduksi nilai-nilai otoriter. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis novel ini adalah teori otoritas oleh John Simons dan teori Reproduksi Sosial oleh Pierre Bourdieu. Metode penelitiannya menggunakan metode analisis isi cerita. Penggunakan kedua teori dan satu metode ini digunakan karena dianggap paling tepat untuk mencari permasalahan yang ditemui dengan memperlihatkan bagaimana cara tokoh yang digambarkan mereproduksi otoritarianisme dengan memaparkan konsep otoritarianisme itu sendiri. Penemuan bentuk-bentuk otoritarianisme dan motif dari reproduksi otoritarianisme yang dikonstuksikan dalam novel menjadi hasil dari penelitian ini.

Authoritarianism is a form of dictatorial leadership which force for all of its members to obey a set of rule that has been made. This form of leadership that misuse of power like this is a phenomenon that often occurs and is often encountered in many works by French writers, especially in the novel. Most of the events are wrapped in stories that are the result of adaptation of a real event that inspired the author. Les Dieux Ont Soif, a novel written by Anatole France published in 1912 is a historical novel with a background of The French revolution. The Novel is constructed by the depiction of a dictator who does not realize that he is using the authoritarian values. Theories use to analyze this novel are theory of authority by John Simons and theory of social reproduction by Pierre Bourdieu. The research method uses the content analysis method. Both theories and one method is used because it is considered the most appropriate to find the encountered problems. To show how the depicted figure reproduces authoritarianism by exposing the concept of authoritarianism itself. The invention of authoritarian forms and the motive of the reproduction of authoritarianism that was constructed in the novel are the results of this research.
