PERSEPSI DAN INTERAKSI MASYARAKAT DUSUN KEPEK I DESA BANYUSOCO KECAMATAN PLAYEN TERHADAP KAWASAN HUTAN DENGAN TUJUAN KHUSUS (KHDTK) UNTUK HUTAN PENELITIAN PLAYEN

Aktifitas produksi yang masih dilakukan oleh warga Dusun Kepek I yaitu bercocok tanam di lahan hutan negara yang saat ini sebagian telah ditetapkan menjadi Kawasan Hutan Dengan Tujuan Khusus (KHDTK) untuk Hutan Penelitian Playen. Masyarakat sangat menggantungkan hidupnya pada KHDTK tersebut karena sebagian besar mata pencahariannya adalah petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi dan interaksi masyarakat Dusun Kepek 1 terhadap KHDTK untuk Hutan Penelitian Playen. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Dusun Kepek 1, Desa Banyusoco, Kecamatan Playen, Kabupaten Gunungkidul, yang merupakan dusun terdekat dengan KHDTK untuk Hutan Penelitian Playen. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive. Analisa data dilakukan dengan cara bertahap, yakni reduksi data, display data, dan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi masyarakat Dusun Kepek 1 terhadap KHDTK untuk Hutan Penelitian Playen yaitu masyarakat mengetahui akibat dari kerusakan hutan dan menyadari bahwa mereka juga harus ikut melestarikan hutan, masyarakat mengetahui bahwa KHDTK tersebut milik Negara, dan KHDTK bermanfaat bagi kehidupannya terutama manfaat ekonomi. Masyarakat juga setuju terhadap kerjasama dengan pihak KHDTK tersebut. Interaksi yang dilakukan oleh sebagian besar masyarakat Dusun Kepek 1 terhadap KHDTK untuk Hutan Penelitian Playen yaitu mengambil rumput, menggarap tumpangsari, mengambil kayu bakar dan tidak merusak tanaman penelitian. Masyarakat berharap agar jarak tanam tanaman penelitian diperlebar dan tanaman penelitian yang sudah tidak digunakan untuk penelitian segera di pangkas/tebang, sehingga didapatkan ruang untuk menanam palawija/tanaman semusim.

Production activity that still carried out by community of Kepek 1 Hamlet is farming on the state forest area that most of it has currently been set into Forest Area with Special Purposes (KHDTK) for Playen Research Forest. The community depends their life on KHDTK because most of the community were farmer. The research aimed to find out the perception and interaction of Kepek 1 Hamlet community towards KHDTK for Playen Research Forest. This research was conducted in Kepek 1 Hamlet, Banyusoco Village, Playen Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency, which was the nearest hamlet with KHDTK for Playen Research Forest. The method used was survey with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed step by step, comprised of data reduction, data display, and conclusion/verification. The results of the research showed that perceptions of Kepek 1 Hamlet community towards KHDTK for Playen Research Forest were community knew the effect of forest damage and realised that they have to participate in making forest sustainable, they also knew that the KHDTK was owned by the government, and KHDTK was beneficial for their lives, mainly economical benefits. The community also agreed towards a partnership with the KHDTK. The interactions that were performed by most of Kepek 1 Hamlet community towards KHDTK for Playen Forest Research i.e. collecting grass, doing intercropping, collecting firewood, and not damaging the plants for research. The community hoped to widen plant space and for the plants that are not used for research to immediately be trimmed/slashed, in order to bring more space to plant crops/annual plants.
