Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dengan jelas profil BPP sebagai badan penerbit dan publikasi di lingkungan Universitas Gadjah Mada. Selain itu, tugas akhir ini juga mendeskripsikan dengan jelas mengenai peran front office di BPP UGM. Front office adalah divisi yang terletak di bagian kantor depan yang memiliki andil dalam setiap proses pelayanan administrasi dan beberapa tugas lainnya dalam mendukung kinerja BPP. Penelitian dalam tugas akhir ini telah diselesaikan di kantor Badan Penerbit dan Publikasi (BPP) UGM. Selain itu, tugas akhir ini juga menyebutkan hambatan-hambatan yang dialami oleh staf FO BPP dalam beberapa tugas yang dijalankan. Metode yang digunakan dalam tugas akhir ini adalah studi lapangan dan studi pustaka. Studi lapangan telah dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara. Sedangkan studi pustaka telah dilakukan dengan membaca buku, artikel, jurnal, website, dan beberapa sumber terpercaya lainnya. Data dari studi lapangan menjadi data yang utama, sedangkan data yang kedua bersumber dari studi pustaka. Tugas akhir ini merangkum mengenai divisi front office dalam layanan administrasi seperti penerimaan proposal insentif publikasi dan jurnal. Setelah menerima berkas, staff FO juga mengecek kembali kelengkapan berkas sesuai persyaratan dimasing-masing program insentif. Selain tugas administrasi, staff FO juga berperan dalam mendukung kinerja BPP seperti dalam hal manajemen persiapan rapat atau pertemuan, persuratan, dan menerima telepon.

This final project aims to describe clearly profile of BPP as the publisher and publication agency in Universitas Gadjah Mada. This final project also describe clearly about the roles of front office in Publishers and Publication Agency (Badan Penerbit dan Publikasi) BPP UGM. Front office is a division located in the front of the office which has a share in some service administration process and other tasks to support the performance of BPP. The research in this final project has been completed in the office of Publishers and Publication Agency. In addition, this final project also mentions the barriers experienced by BPP front office staff in some of the tasks it undertakes. The method used in this final project is field study and library study. Field study has been conducted through observation and interviews. While library study has done by reading books, articles, journals, websites, and other trusted sources. The data from field study become the main data, while the secondary data come from library study. This final project summarizes the role of front office division in administration services such as receiving of publication and journal incentive proposal. After receiving the file, the FO staff also checked the file completeness as the requirements of each incentive program. Besides the administrative tasks, FO staff also plays role in supporting the performance of BPP, such as meeting preparation management, mailing and telephoning
